Aye, I agree with that. Thom Yorke has written some of the most emotionally affecting, exciting, interesting music in history, but his lyrics aren't anything special. They don't even begin to stand up to comparison to the poetry of Tyson Vogel or the metaphor of Richey James, for example. |

This track unplugged my writer's block. For that, I'm thankful.
It gives me a huge sense of continuation... Just that cymbal beat... As a drummer, I appreciate that more than anything in this track - it just creates so much movement, rhythmic flow... Actually, the whole record is incredible. The reprise is so moving... Gah. Radiohead is the only band I can't talk about properly. |

It's an interesting topic. Personally, I think others were implicated in his demise, though not specifically the sort of agencies that are normally blamed.
It runs on so well to Cymbal Rush |

I remember someone saying it was about a unborn child whose mother abuses drugs; the baby feeling all of the same rush, crash and pain as the chemicals are transfused to it through the womb. In that light I find it immeasurably depressing... It's so beautiful though... |

Thom was in a car accident when he was younger. A few of Radiohead's songs have lyrics that imply something about it. Great song - not long enough though. |

I love the way the music itself is calm and almost dreamy, except it has this underlying uncomfortable feel, and then the Thom sings the lyrics slowly and easily when what they describe is almost horrific... |

It's about religious broadcasting. Stop over-analyzing something that's clear at face value, but very ambiguous when you try and look for alternate meanings. You're all as bad as the people who go on about Creep by Radiohead - there's 200 odd fucking comments there and it's blatant what it's about.
Right... Anyone know what the whispering is in the interlude? This song kicks ass. |

References to Orwell, amputation, contortion, Candid camera? It's about the way we are being consumed by the media, "contorted" news reports "amputation" - what is left out in what we see in the media? "Nothing's gonna happen, without a warning" - Our sense of false security?? Dark lyrics, scary theme. |

The guitar is so haunting... It just feels really dark and oppressive to me. Also, the line "We'll cast some light and you'll be alright." almost feels like an empty promise to me. The song is just harrowing. |

It amuses me how a lot of people dislike the lyrics to this song because Damnien wrote them. He can write what the fuck he likes, he's an artist, it's his goddamn job. Just because he's done a load of soft, shitty, chart topping, money raking trash doesn't mean he can't use the word fuck a few times in a real piece of music. |

Yes! I think Thom's telling someone to forget what could happen, and what's happened in the past, and go do what they've always wanted to do, but something awful has happened to this person, and he/she doesn't want to leave it behind them."We the way you talk //We know what you want /What you really want". Such a beutiful song to listen to, but racked with sadness. |

It irritates me when people say this shouldn't have been released as a single.. Too often I've heard it reffered to as "bland" and "dull". This song is so fucking beutiful. I could listen to it for hours - Just after Thom screams "There There!" all the hairs on my head stand on end. It has so much flow and rhythm... I've never heard a piece of music like it, and probably never will again. Best bit? "We are accidents, waiting to happen". |

| Radiohead – Where I End and You Begin. (The Sky Is Falling In.) Lyrics

sortilegus - Yeah. Except I don't think it's about God per-se - more that perhaps Thom is using the viewpoint of a higher force to get his point across, whether that be God or otherwise. This song is about how we've destroyed the Earth, and how nature (or God as some might interprit it) will exact it's revenge upon mankind. Think about the allternative title - "The Sky Is Falling In" |

Lhurman's interpritation of Romeo and Juliet is the brutal rape of a clasic peice of literature. I want to spit in his poncy fucking face.
This song however, is a thing of beauty. Yes, it's inspired by Romeo and Juliet, but it's deeper than that. It's about escape, escaping stupid rules and laws. Fuck Lhurman, bring Shakespere to the masses? It's for people who aren't too fucking stupid too go the the theatre and watch it acted properly. |

| Radiohead – Lurgee Lyrics

The first section of the song is about fooling yourself into thinking that you're okay after a breakup, which is quikly followed by the second, which is about realising that it's not all fine, and realising what you've lost.
Musically, it's probably one of the best tracks that not only Radiohead have produced, but one of the best ever... It's excellant, and the fact that Creep has over 300 comments, and this just 11 is a real shame. It's just people who've downloaded it after hearing it on the radio. Creep's not a particularly great song, wheras this is simply brilliant. A real gem. |
