Of course it's about the end of the world yes420, you moron. Ben Gibbard even said so himself when he performed it live as an acoustic solo version. |

These are the actual lyrics from the website: I’m leaving you all of my car parts I didn’t have the money or I would have gotten roses You poured one more highball But I had to go before my poor heart overflowed Ceiling tiles and highway signs are flowing through my mind You put all your hope in my slim chance I didn’t know I had I’m leaving under cover of darkness I never had a home where I didn’t need to hide I’ve seen every lover leave me the same way The harder they are the harder I try That’s a lie, but I say it with a smile You put all your hope in my slim chance I didn’t know I had I don’t even have cigarettes Baby wasn’t down with the heist I just tried to do what I thought was right But baby wasn’t down with it She wasn’t down I’m leaving you all of my car parts I’ll call you when I’m coming back again if I can I mean to quit stealing as soon as I steal for the last time At least my watch is right two times a day You put all your hope in my slim chance I didn’t know I had I don’t even have cigarettes And here is a link to a free download of the mp3, also off The Long Winters website, so it's legit. http://music.barsuk.com/Long.Winters_Carparts.mp3 The one thing I wanna know is what the heck "At least my watch is right two times a day"? |

| It's not actually about a girl called Seven, is it? Seinfeld reference? | |

On their own, the lyrics make great for some great poetry. It just happens that they had to record it into a great song too. Love the electric car line - maybe alluding to a different future when something did happen between the singer and the girl? Also love Sean Nelson's backing vocals. |

| What's this, a field full of tires that is always on fire? He must be living in Springfield, ahah. | |
| Barenaked Ladies – Inline Bowline Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Obviously about a friend that commits suicide, but I get the feeling that the rope/knot is a bigger metaphor for something else. I'm not sure though? It can't be that simple, with a BNL song. | |
