this was used in that movie "with Honors". I think it's about losing someone who has taught you so much. could be a lover, but I see it being sung to a great friend or family memeber. |

i agree with mrsdarthvader. this is about hitting rock bottom. Could be related to drug addiction which led to "losing everything I held so dear" |

This was featured in a VH1 show. They said the composer wrote this for his mother when she died. In a way, because he was hurt so much, his words and tone are bitter and quite antagonistic. But I guess this is his way of coping when he lost someone so dear to him. |
