It's obivously a song about Syd Barrett who was Floyd's early frontman. He later went into seclusion from drugs and the pressures of the music business. Many other songs are written about him and the music business. |

| Death Cab for Cutie – I Will Follow You Into the Dark Lyrics

This song is obviosuly a love song about dieing. I'm not sure if religion is playing a big part in this song. I think that he means that him an dhis lover don't need either heaven or hell to be happy together, they only need each other.
Also, I believe that this song is written about an old couple, as they have traveled all over together, and that the time to sleep is now. It is said when people grow old together and when one of them passes away, the other is sure to follow.
Also, in the video, obviously the hole represents death and in the beginning as he sits on the bed, he is depressed. In the video, he later learns that death is nothing to fear and follows his lover into death.
Basically, the main point of this song is about growing old together and in death, still being together. Don't focus on the religion aspect as I'm sure the artists would rather have you aprreciate the beautiful love song written. |

| Pearl Jam – Daughter Lyrics

This song is played in nearly every Pearl Jam show, almost always with an extension of the ending that could be an improvisation or a segment of another song
A different form of extension to the song was first introduced in their performance on comedy/variety show Saturday Night Live in April 1994, just 8 days after the death of Nirvana frontman and grunge pioneer Kurt Cobain. This extension of the song is also seen as a tribute to Cobain, and is called "Daughter/Hey Hey, My My" by fans (since the extension is from a Neil Young song of the same name (not to be confused with My My, Hey Hey). Cobain's suicide note said "it's better to burn out than to fade away" towards the end of it, which is a phrase from the song "Hey Hey, My My." |

| Coheed and Cambria – A Favor House Atlantic Lyrics

A Favor House Atlantic (Claudio / Al The Killer) Al has taken Claudio to House Atlantic to try to kill Wilhelm. They're found out and are being chased by Wilhelm's men. Al was only supposed to drop Claudio off, but Claudio knows he can't do this by himself so he asks Al to help ("Retract the footsteps that brought us to this favor, I wouldn't ask this of you"). Al is an expert marksman and he's providing cover for Claudio to do what he's trying to do ("Good eye sniper/ I'll shoot you run"). Claudio tells Newo that he needs to leave and wont be coming back ("Bye , bye beautiful, don't bother to write"). Wilhelm's guard is coming to get Claudio and he needs to get out of there, and Jesse is apparently mortally wounded in this altercation ("Disturbed by your words and they're calling all cars"). Claudio tells Newo not to write him, it be too hard for her to write and for him to think of her and also dangerous because of his possible whereabouts. I think also the "face step step down/let down" are them breaking up at the end, saying that it's over and it won't be so hard. Claudio now realizes his role as The Crowing as his destiny and realizes the danger in the situation.
