Switchfoot – Daylight to Break Lyrics 19 years ago
Could be Christ's return, but the wording seems more inward to me, i.e. "I've seen the darkest things crawling inside of me." It's basically saying the same thing about Christ coming, but I'm just thinking the inward language througout the songs seems to more likely denote Christ coming inside of him specifically.

I really like the idea of a primarily acoustic fast song, and I like the more raw, less conventional sound.

As for meaning, Sin and Redemption anyone? The theme of darkness inside and light breaking in seems to be a good illustration of this, and Switchfoot doesn't usually take relationships in this light, as it would be a little overly dramatic to be about a guy and a girl, at least based on Switchfoot's previous lyrical style.

So, I'm going with Sin and Redemption.

Umm, unfortunatley donkeykong, your attempt at being smarter than another user just made you out to look like an ass. There is a Sanctus Real song called "Inside Out." It was included on the independent album "Nothing to Lose," and is an earlier version of what eventually became "Audience of One." As far as I can tell, these lyrics are fairly correct for the original version.
