Lyrics are wrong with the new and final recording. Can't work out all of the differences, but the chorus is this: "She gets around Vomit on the prowl She's making the rounds Vomit on the prowl And I'm forced to fight like I'm a natural born farmer She gets around Vomit on the prowl" Not even sure it's "prowl" cause I think I can hear an 'f', so possible "frown". Okay, so I put the song onto Audacity and slowed the speed down to try and work out the quiet sped-up bit before the outro breakdown, and this is what I got: I thought you would be. I think this song is most likely to be about a relationship with someone. "I'm cured when you say there's something left" By this the other person is telling him they still have feelings towards him. "It's pure just to know we'll always be friends" No matter what's happened between them, and whatever else happens, they'll always remain as friends at the very least. "I hope, I hope you find your mind and let them go" He hopes they think things through enough to let everything go that may have happened between them before, and go on anew. "There's nothing left to do in this town There's nowhere left to fly but on the ground I'll reach you, tonight" There's nothing exciting to do where they both live, so he'll see this other person and no matter what they do they'll enjoy themselves. "It's opening but I cannot describe it My friends, you know that I can't hide it" The strong feelings are showing for the other person, and he can't hide them as they're so strong. "Like planets, it spins around my world A painting, all the colours running dry like me" The feelings and emotions are always with him and on his mind, and 'all the colours' are actually the feelings/acts he was using to hide his true feelings. This song meaning is obvious, and Oli has said what it's about himself. It's about the incident that occured at Nottingham Rock City concerning the girl he allegedly urinated on and bottled. He's basically just venting the anger and frustration that the whole thing caused him; the accusations, the court case, etc. The final line is basically saying she should have been pissed for it, and would've deserved to be pissed on for what the whole thing put him through. Like, he got blamed for it and many people still don't believe him so he may aswell have done. I don't know whether it truely happened or not myself, and I don't think anyone ever will besides those who were there at the time it happened. |

Compiling all the ideas discussed so far, I think this song may be about when he was returning home to his girlfriend from touring alongside Test Icicles. He'd come home tired and weary, and she'd be at home drunk when he got there. "I feel better now I've seen you, but deep inside my bones feel like timber" The fact that he's happy to see her after such a long time apart, but inside he's tired of her behaviour, and from the touring. "I am shaking from the tension, and I will shudder at the mention." The first half just backs-up the point made earlier, but as for the shuddering but I'm uncertain why. It could be the mention of them splitting up, or maybe even her going out to drink again. "Hate to think what would happen if I started to drink like you, maybe I will loosen up. Pour me another gin." Pretty self-explanatory really. He doesn't want to turn out like her, yet due to his stomach ulcers he's unable to, and is therefore guessing that he'll loosen up and not be arguing with her about the drinking. He then asks for a drink to test it out, and is also influenced to do so so that he can relate more in the relationship. "Guzzle down, My neck will burn as we kiss and I'm sick in your mouth. I know you want more. Lick my open wounds and add some ice, And choke on my sick vice. Oh girl, the lights are on." The result of him drinking to try and be like her has made him ill as explained at the start. To ask about licking his wounds and adding ice he wants to remove the pain caused from himself and her, and to reduce it like a swelling he uses the metaphoric image of ice on a wound. "Trapped in bed, as the poison slowly creeps in and stops me dead. Should have known better than to cave into such fantasies." The poison could be a metaphor for his girlfriend or the problems they share. The 'fantasies' he mentions could be him hoping that things between them will work out, or that he can drink and be like her which he tried earlier, but he was foolish to do so. |

Every song on POYRRG is about Albert Fish and the Grace Budd murder if the rumour about the concept album is true. A lot of the lyrical content in the songs of the album point towards that direction too. To me this seems to be basically talking about the actual murder, and describing it in graphic detail. "Find an easier way of dying, before you get murdered" - this seems to me like 'dying' actually means living. Albert needs to have a normal life, even though that would never have happened, before he gets murdered, which he did with his death sentence. |

Apparently it's about a time when he tried to impress his girlfriend's parents when he met them first time. "Tonight make me unstoppable And I will charm, I will slice I will dazzle them with my wit" This could be that he doesn't want to be shy in front of them or mess-up, and wants to impress him with how witty he is so they can approve of him being with their daughter. "I will dazzle, I will outshine them all" This could mean that he will outshine all the people in the past that have been in the same situation with this girl's parents.
