i think this song is about a girl he loves and that its more than just a relationship to this guy. its something more than that, well thats the way i interupt it, its not just lust to him thats just something thats next to it involved. "carve your name into my arm cos I long to feel your name blood red" -ike a tattoo he wants her there forever "leave our love life at the door what's in store? we don't know just yet" - its the begining of there relationship and hes said goodbye at her door, he doesnt no where this relationship is going to go yet. hence the whats in store? we dont know just yet. "and that is why when we get together there's no need to be clever lightning struck at eleven, same as last night we talk deeper than weather baseball cap with a feather fire engine's here to quell the blaze that's our life" -when they get together they dont need to be "clever" they just got to be themselves it feels right, natural. there not trying to "pull moves". lightening struck at eleven same as last night maybe the girl had to be home at that time. the next few lines is how well the get along and connect, they can get lost in conversation with each other. they know the other person will be there to listen to there problems, "fire engine" "and when the love detector finds a spark it's before dark when we couldn't care less" -theres a spark in there relationship and they couldnt care less if it was midnight 3 in the morning as long as they were together. anyway this is the way i like to interpret the song, probably cos it reminds me of the relationship im in at the moment. my gf actually gave me this album, shes got awesome music taste! |

| anyway who says blink isnt talented is fucking stupid obviously they have something to get them where they are, admitdly theyre no led zeppelin, or jimi or anything like that which has meaning. but there a good fun punk band i mean there blink. there songs are easy understandable, overall id rather right songs about bj or fucking a dog, or talking about some girl i wanna do then fucking emo music talking about sliting my wrists and anyone who thinks otherwise needs a new life | |

| i think that this is pretty obvious that its about a girl, im pretty sure theres no deep and meaningful insight into drugs. Thats not really what blink do, and i think that in the current positions it wouldnt be about heroin or wateva. considering they've all got partners and children it just doesnt seem right to be about heroin. maybe the original one was but not the one in this context. | |
