The poem is Samuel Taylor Coleridge's "Kubla Khan" written/inspired from an opium-binge. Xanadu was the summer capital of Kublai Khan's empire. Lastly, Beowulf is an Anglo-Saxon epic poem by an unknown author about a Swedish hero who fights some monsters. |
