These lyrics are very similar to an Irish folk song: "You're drunk, you're drunk, you silly old drunk, until you cannot see. That's a lovely cabbage head that your mamma sent to me. Oh many a times I've traveled a hundred miles or more, but a head of cabbage with hair on it I've never seen before." There are also other verses, but the point is that a drunk's wife is cheating on him, and when he catches her, she says, that's not another man's stuff, you're just drunk. Not sure what the reference is supposed to mean in this song though. |
