yes it's "About you, girl" in the version im listening to... OK here is what i think it is about- he's leaving a girl that he's sick of waiting on and he's just going out trying to screw any girl he can find because he wants to get out there after he's been with this girl for so long and he's bored or whatever from the girl and he can "hear the bells" because he knows he's getting out of what he didn't want to be in and pretty much starting fresh. |

My parents are going through a bad divorce now too... once again, as I said in my comments on "Adam's Song" this song makes me feel sad but also not so alone- knowing I'm not the only one who sits up at night listening to my parents fight over stupid stuff- even me and my girlfriend, both 14, don't fight over stuff as dumb and I know how it feels "rather than fix the problem, they never solve them it makes no sense at all"

I'm one of those depressed teenagers that you guys keep talking about- came close to suicide many times and this song, with "Stay Together for the Kids" is like the anthem of my life for the past 2-3 years. The words in this song are like the thoughts of a suicidal/near suicidal person (me, in the past) put into song and I really appreciate blink for addressing subjects such as teen suicide and the effects of divorce on kids. It may mean something else to other people but to me this is about overcoming suicide and it makes me sad and hopeful at the same time that people can overcome things like this and not so alone, knowing I'm not the only one that thinks like this. |
