The blue and red shadows can be linked to police lights. The Authority on the streets. But they are looked at as evil shadows. Authority, or today's authority is evil. beware. They'll get you too. |

The first few times I heard this sond I had a very clear image somehow painted in my head It makes me feel like a very young child, someone innocent and scared being left alone in a bar. There's no color and no life in the bar. All the inhabitants are emaciated and drawn. Everyone's smoking cigarettes and I'm the only body of innocence for miles and everyone wants a piece of me. Everyone else's eyes are cast in shadow but I can feel them looking at me. I get pushed into a back room by some tall long lady who's pretending to be my friend. When I leave the main room of the bar I can hear everyone clapping from outside like it's some kind of ceremony. In the room there's a table covered in vices and straws and powder and spoons. They tell me to stick out my arm to try it. I don't want to, but part of me wants them to like me. All I can do is give in. This song makes me think of loss of innocence do to drugs. I've seen alot of people throw their lives away for an addiction. This song reminds me of that. |

| Bob Dylan – Love Sick Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Great fucking song. I love how the instrumentals and vocals are so simple. And it's kind of undescribable. It reminds me of when I have a crush on someone and I'm too afraid to tell them. And how whenever I have a crush it seems as if the world is mocking me. It rains to mirror my emotions but wherever I go, there is a couple or some kind of reminder than I don't have the one I want. You'll give anything not to think about that person. Anything to not feel for that person. But you can't help it. And I love when he says the silence is like thunder. Because... sometimes when there is no sound, no distraction, it just gives way for your thoughts to be loud and overpowering. Like thunder | |
| Death Cab for Cutie – Transatlanticism Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Well, I've always loved this song. But it didn't really hold any meaning to me until, my boyfriend went to scotland for the first half of summer. It was horrible. He was gone for my birthday and I spent my birthday at a hotel on the beach. It sucked sitting next to the body of water that seperated us. To look at something so huge and vast it's unimaginable to think of how far apart we were. That's when I really clicked with this song. Now whenever I hear it I think of what it felt like to be that far apart from someone I needed so much closer. It's an amazing song and is pretty much the epitomy of what a long distance relationship feels like. TERRIBLE! | |
| Radiohead – I Will. (No Man's Land.) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I was extremely dissapointed when I read down everyone's interpretations. Dissapointed that nobody had mentioned Ernest Hemingway's short story. But then there it was, blue had it down, and I was happy. It's clearly about war. The term no man's land comes from trench warfare (it was the place in between the enemy's trench and yours that noone dared go simply because you'd be shot on sight.) He just doesn't want his kids to be exposed to that side of human nature. Want's to protect them from the atrocities of the world. | |
