Hey stever, why don't you just mind your own business? , instead of adding your pointless comments? Bobby Sherman? Please, is that the best you can do? Besides, it looks as though you're a big fan, quoting lyrics like that. Mr. Hippo, you made some good points, so I went back and gave the song another chance. Listening to it on a decent stereo as opposed to the crappy system at work, yes, this song is actually not too bad. Still far from my favorite, but pretty decent. Just as you were having a bad day when you first replied, so was I when I first posted. I live in Canada where we have content regulations that state 36% of all music played on the radio must be Canadian, that's why they play BNL quite a bit. the crappy station that they play at the office was playing this song several times a day. Multiple plays+bad sound system=poor impression of the song. It would be nice if people could refrain from personal attacks and lets just talk about the music (good and bad)! |

Wow, Mr. Hippo, thanks for the personal attack when I merely express my dislike for a song that is repetitive BEYOND the point of monotony, and has lyrics that wander aimlessly, hinting at some sort of person pain. That subject matter has been covered in the same manner in probably 10,000 songs prior to this one. Unfortunate, I am subjected to Top 40 crap all day, as that is what gets pumped into my office. I hear this song at least twice a day, which is what prompted my rant. When I have control over what is played, this genre would be my LAST choice. There is so much good music available that doesn’t get radio time due to the methods of the radio industry that it’s unfortunate that this music is played to death. Yes, repetition at this level this song has DOES make it a bad song. Lyrics repeat endlessly, as does the music - same melody over and over. That shows a lack of creativity. Trance music can get away with it because of it’s intensity – this is lacking in that quality. I hardly think that constitutes a "rookie mistake". I'll be willing to bet that I've been listening to music longer than you've even been alive. I've studied music history and structure for several years, so instead of resorting to telling me what to do sexually with myself, why don't you please explain what makes this song so great, with your infinite wisdom? And please, see if you can answer without resorting to flaming. |

| This has to be one of the WORST songs I've heard in a long, long time. I can't even think about the meaning of this, because of the unbelievable repetitivness of the the chorus. Seriously, how many times does he say "make it easy" in this song - 40 times? 50 times? I just can't stand songs where they just give up trying to write decent lyrics. If you can't use your imagination, make it an instrumental song! | |

Sorry, bradleyb, but this song is not about G. Bush. This song was released in 1983, 18 years before G.B. stole, I mean, was voted to the office. That's even 6 years before G.B. senior took office. Interesting opinion though. I'm curious, what is in the lyrics that made you think of that? |
