Irrelevance. Back on topic. This little rap's meaning is pretty obvious and straightforward. It's pretty clear from the beginning that it's a representation of one of the show's main characters, Huey Freeman. He's a radical, left-wing 12 year old black boy who has devoted his life (which is part of the joke--he's only 12, albeit a really smart, perceptive one) towards black rights and justice. Huey does his best in almost every episode to make the other characters quit being stupid, and usually fails, not out of incompetence, but because the other characters are embodiments of society's stereotypes. Anyway, the theme song's actual lyrics don't have much depth, they just represent Huey and his struggle. |

Just putting in my two cents, i'm pretty sure the line under question is "call it aftermath, she's turning blue" When it comes to APC and Tool, I listen especially hard to the lyrics and replay the song several times before I come to a conclusion as to what it means. I mean, you have to; they're so damn cryptic. I think this song is about his denial with his girl ending their relationship. The first few lines say he was shallow, because he wasn't capable of anything else. As it slowly dawned on him what his girl was doing (breaking up with him), giving him clues, he chose to ignore it all and just act none the wiser. Just keep rolling right through it, "because I didn't want to know." Then, he says she's getting obvious with it, shouting until she's "blue" in the face (thanks, StevieJew), but he just acted oblivious, casually noting the pretty hue as he "just sits and stares at you." Damn I love these bands. |

| Tool – Vicarious Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| by the way, I agree with MoreViolence. STFU BrianNevelle. Maynard is good with Tool, and Tool is good with Maynard. One can't be without the other. And, I seriously doubt Maynard would feel that this type of message would be conveyed in a more light-hearted song style. He puts his lyrics to Tool's musical style for a specific reason, not because somebody pushed him into it. | |

| Once again, Tool says what we all felt but never said aloud. | |
