You are such an immature idiot countryboy9. I am done stooping to your level and having social and historical debates on a song meaning website, your venue is safe. |

Haha thats funny countryboy9 is religious is he? One minute he is saying that black people can go kill each other in the street, the next he is saying "Jesus is the greatest!" he even throws in that exclamation point to show he really means it. For someone that claims to be religious you sure dont know anything about christianity, about as little as you do of history I would guess. |

Again, countryboy9, you have proven yourself to be an idiot. The Soviet Union was not the principal backer of North Korea, China was. China leant troops to the war in 1950 after the United States crossed the 38th parallel. And China was not communist long before the Cold War unless you consider 1949 long before the Cold War. (In case you didn't realize, the tensions that arose leading to the Cold War directly followed World War II which ended in 1945) |

please dont compare the musical abilities of Guns N' Roses and Greenday. Greenday is one of the bands that killed bands like Guns N' Roses and paved the way for the days where musical ability was not a prerequisite to have a band. Ever notice why every band plays greednay music and not November Rain for example, because any 12 year old with a guitar can play what Greenday does. |

First time I ever heard this song was when my ex-girlfriend told me to listen to it after breaking up with me due to us both moving away. Was uplifting at the time. |

This always makes me think of someone that once had it all, in terms of friendship and love, and finds that it all has slipped away and they are leading a life with no meaningful connection to anyone. I love the line "Can you remember who I was, can you still feel it
Can you find my pain, can you heal it"
It reinforces my interpretation, I feel like he is speaking of a past love that he wants to come back, because he not only misses her, he misses who he was. |

| Eric Clapton – Running On Faith Lyrics

This song is one of the most emotional songs Eric Clapton sings. I always took it to be about someone who lost a very great love, and is pretty much empty without it and feels like everything would be alright if that love returned. I love the way Clapton sings the line "and we'd go running on faith." It is like he is imagining a moment with the woman he loves that would overcome him with peace and contentment. Like it is all that he wants in the world. So powerful, especially if you identify with that interpretation. |

| The Allman Brothers Band – Melissa Lyrics

I do think that this song is about a girl, I think that it is more likely that Greg Allman named his guitar after the song than vice versa, it was Duane Allmans favorite Greg Allman song which may have leant some sentimentality to it after Duane died. If you see the Allman Brothers in concert Warren Haynes sings most of the songs and they all kind of run continuously but Greg Allman stops the set and sings this song himself, very powerfully. I think this song is about a person who travels around, and always has the one girl he loves most on his mind, and he keeps it to himself. She is both his love and his burden. |
