So this is wierd - maybe coincidence, but the mayans used a color compass - instead of words for direction, they have colors. Red is east, Black is west, White is north, yellow is south. The center is a blue-green ethereal teleport (how else to describe it...it connect the world of the mortal with the world of the divine). |

Lateralus, it doesn't have a time signature. I assume by your name you've heard 'Rosetta Stoned', tat doesn't have one either. It just switches constantly. It's prog rock, what do you expect? You don't dance to it. |

It's quite simple really, you just need to listen to the drums - Before he realizes his self-obsession the drums follow a very very strict beat (of the drums going up and down constantly). But when he lets go of his self image/obsession, his ego really, he sees the outside world, and at this point the drums start to go free. Could be coincidental, who knows?
Also, is every song on this album about something moral? So far the grudge is about forgiveness, the patient is about patience (surprise!), schism is about unifying, parabol/parabola i have absolutely no idea, ticks and leeches is a metaphor for what seems to be like obsession with others (who really don't seem to matter), lateralus is about false judgement, disposition - reflection - triad (which, by the way, did anybody notice how it gets heavier throughout this triple-ary sequence) is about the self |

Somebody said something about tool showing a space video...somebody else said something about the rosetta orbit...well a rosetta orbit, also known as a hypotrochoid, is when a large mass is stuck in the gravity of a black hole and spins in a pentagramic way. Interesting. |

Wait, I thought the theory was that because space has been proven not a linear structure (like a piece of paper) it leaves two options as to how it is built. One is hyperbolic, which is the structure of a black hole, and the other is elliptic, which is shaped like a ball/sphere. the elliptic universe would be a dull end where atoms would no longer work because they are too far apart, whereas a hyperbolic universe would collapse upon itself.
So eon blue apocalypse is talking about a circular universe where the end of life is dictated by the loss of atmoic cooperation. I wonder if they wrote a counter-song where it is fast paced and energetic and a bit like this where the end of life is when the universe implodes. |

This meaning is pretty basic. And to da0utsider - OMG11!!12!1 I kumplteetlee 4gree ZOMG21!!!11!1 ROFLMAO LOLOLOL
sorry.
And shouldn't 'merkaba' be track 6 and 'you lied' by track 5? They segue (did I mispell that) into each other pretty well, I'm pretty sure they were performed at different times (like the other three live tracks) but ehy mixed it so it transition smoothly i guess. |

Thank you mr the cooch, especially stuff with wierd effects, specifically this and third eye. But really, this is nothing more than a, SURPRISE, psychadelic experience. But before I continue I have a few things to say:
1. Think about maynard's point of view. "Hey maybe if we play this specific line this many times in a row it will correspond to a certain behavior" No.
2. The second beat where the drum beats twice in a row seems to correspond to the same beat as the song reflection. If you took the drum segment and played it over reflection it would theoretically synchronize. But that's not the point.
3. If you are flaming somebody, be creative, don't say things like 'Yeah, well, you'd be surprised how spritual blbalbalba' No. |

As far as I know this is thinking about the past, you know, yearning for change in things that already happened. The narator is kind of realizing this halfway through this song, notice the change in the way it is played. You know, drums start going their own way (instead of that one beat it was doing for the first few minutes) and the ultimate point of realization is reached when the guitar starts playing that one part by itself (don't have the time of that).
But three things: 1 Whats the deal with people using the song lyrics to show what they mean (case and point: using that speech in salival)
2. Does anybody else not get the idea of 'The moon tells me a secret'? It's a pretty dumb line IMHO.
3. Did anybody else wonder how they would play this live? The drums, from what i'm hearing, are impossible to play, and there are at least three guitars that I am hearing. |

OKAY
So I'm reading this, and for a while I couldn't remember my account but now I have it.
Here's what it means:
If you've ever read the book "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" (forgot author), one of the ward patients tells McMurphy (a new patient who skipped out on jail by acting insane) that he has to accept the fact that a woman runs the ward instead of a man (it was written in the 60's so sexism was around). He says "Pay the man" a couple times in that sentence. McMurphy retaliates, pretty much calling it absurd and says he won't let a woman change him. |
