Well, basically "it's a big sky" is another (very unimaginative) way of saying "plenty more fish in the sea". It's about recovering from a breakup, letting yourself free to love again. Generally I think these lyrics are pretty crap, but it's only a trance song after all...I just like the repetition of "breathe in this moment". It's such a euphoric record, and hearing it a club while shutting your eyes and listen to her saying that is a blissful experience. |

How can you write a love song about someone you saw in a subway? This song is either cleverly ironic, or it's one of the lamest songs ever written. Originally, I thought these lyrics were absolutely awful. I mean, what kind of a line is "my life is brilliant"? Why does he stress about never being with someone whom he doesn't even know? He's only seen her face. We've all seen fit birds in town before and been kinda jealous of their boyfriends. But come on, "we shared a moment that will last till the end"? What, you looked at each other? I'm gonna suggest that this track is ironic. To me, it represents how easily some people fall in love. It represents how many people don't know what love even is, and they think they're in love with someone, but they really just like them for something exterior and superficial. The fact that the track is written in such a basic, dead-pan way is perhaps Blunt saying that these people are under-developed, one-dimensional, and fail to understand the complexity of love. |
