glorifiedg79: they hate bush for no reason? bush never lied? do some research. 65% of america hates bush. and yes he did lie. multiple times. as for pearl jam being a political band, if you had a stage to speak your mind and state your opinions and maybe help make a change, wouldnt you do it to. pearl jam is not an entirely political band, the have their opinions, and the let you know what they are. could be anything from child abuse, to the overwhelming amount of homeless people in our country, to womens rights, to conservation. they're not all bush-bashing. but there needs to be a change made to this country and it seems the only people speaking up are musicians. when are we, americas next great generation gonna start to stand up and make things happen for the better. i am sorry for this rant on a song meanings site. but its sad when the majority of people on this page dont see that a change needs to be made. Pearl Jam have a voice and the ability to use it, for that we should be thankful. wake up. |
