Well, it's not the same story, but I guess it's telling another side of the storyline. "Everything Went Numb" is the man's concious getting the best of him, while this song is just the man not fitting in with the rest of the robbers. He's wearing a 3 piece suit and only carrying a 9mm, while the rest have on punky clothes and semi automatic.
Good Song. SM does it best. |

I always get the feeling from this song that it's more or less the narrator trying to say anything to have his wife and/or girlfriend to leave him. He's saying anything he can just to have her give up on him and leave him alone.

I've been tempted to do this to one of my friends many times. At his job his boss was tired of personal calls at work, so any calls to the work he would put on the intercom. He left the job at the begining of the year, but I'm still mad I didn't go threw with it. |

Oh I found out why. I found it in a lyric page for Say Ten that was named wrong here.
"This one is about when my sister decided to become vegan. She was eating hamburgers one day, and the next she was on the phone preaching to everyone she knew about how wrong it was to kill animals for food. I thought it was ridiculous, so I sang about it. Sort of. Our big inside joke at the time was the subliminal satanic messages where we would say something like: 'WHAT DID YOU SAYtan?' (satan get it?!) and the 'ten' in the title was just to make it that much more confusing. I had meant to change the title on 'Turn The Radio..' to 'I Eat Vegetarian', but I forgot." |

Awesome. The song is about a breakup (So is the whole CD) but after you breakup that point where you still love each other but you're just friends. Like you don't know what to do. |
