i'm lsnin to this song as i'm typin this and i hopeee i can come to a thoro understanding of wut it means....well he starts off by talkin of a loss....it's as if he's stuck in the moment..in the sitatution ..in time...so 4:am could represent the time where this incident happened "4:am forever" as in he will live in this loss forever ....the words goodbye is also repeated quite alot ...again representing his loss....he is singin this song as if out of desperation: "Mabye someday when you can hear this song, You wont let it slip away" maybe he is singin or writin this song at 4:am when he is 'alone' again its the same basic idea either way.... my best part of the song is the chorus tho ..he sings it with such emotion ...i can really relate to wut he is going thro...and im suprised that no one has commented on this gr8 song...anyways...this is wut i think:) hope to hear wut u ppl think! maybe im wrong:P |

| I think this song shows the truth bout love...i mean after the lovey dovy stage....the guy does get under ur skin and he does become an ass...sorry guys...but u all are jack ass' to SOME extent....and i love joan for expressin these feelings in this KICK ASS song if i say so myself...final words? -this song kicks some SERIUOS ass (and ya i agree it rocked on dawson's creek 2:P) | |

when i first heard this song it hit me hard...im just about to graduate highskool....and moving to college...and me and my bf are havin problems...he is moving to a whole other continent....and i am tryin to come to terms to it...and the line where it says: "Move on you know we'll be stronger in the end" is what i am tryin to convince myself off...anyways to me this song shows the parting of two people who love each other but fail to overcome the obstacles they are faced with .... anywayz...thats wut i think... and as i have noticed no has posted any comments yet on this gr8 song....so hope this adds something to it ... |
