| It´s a really sad song, it is very different from all the other yeah yeah yeahs songs. It´s about ending of a "modern romance" which can not exist anymore. It´s about looking back to the start, realising how it was great in the beginning, how everything seemed to work out fine, and you both where very enthusiastic about everything. but at the end, you must confess that everything went wrong and that your "once so special relationship/romance" failed just like any other. | |

why is this song without a comment? this is perhaps one of my favourite love songs ever written. I can listen to it two weeks long, without getting bored because it´s so minimalistic and it really says everything in only few sentences. But on the other side, ´t´s really not hard to understand. I would say it´s simply about a guy who admires this precious girl, he wants to be with. but he is patient and will wait till she sees in him everything he sees in her. BUT on the other side, it could be about an innocent young girl that just isn´t ready to sleep with him. "And I would give anything to be the one that tears of your wings" But the second meaning is not my favourite,it´s to plain. |
