i feel like this is clearly political. the title is a play on words, look at how disposable our government treats our soldiers right now. Not getting the best body armor, prehistoric armor for vehicles, hidden agendas. When asked about the American deaths in Iraq reaching 2500, Tony Snow says "it's just a number" our government has so many hidden motives for the war, and instead of fighting for a just cause they are sending young kids into a death pit like sheep, giving false reasons for their going, and telling the American people that more sacrifice, more bloodshed, and more death in Iraq is the only way to secure our freedom. It's disgusting how mechanical and inhuman our soldiers are being treated, thrown away like weapons and bullets, not children. Our President and his party have a lot of blood on their hands and we (the American people) are still waiting for some answers, resolutions, or even an outcome. give me one reason for all the death in a country we don't belong in. Watch 911 loose change, or Terror Storm. understand who the real terrorists are. |

this song reminds me of trying to find yourself through god and trying to find your place in the world. he talks about being alone and asks jesus what he did when he was alone. he admits he's not perfect with god and admits to the mistakes he's made in his life. this song reminds me of confessing mistakes to a parent, asking for their advice, and asking of "what next?" this is one of my all time favorite songs, it's awesome. |

does anyone have any ideas on what this song means? i think the beginning's about saving money for his unborn child "i was only one and we weren't prepared for one" but the "bordered in brown pigmentation the yellow lines cut short, turned in then stopped" i'm lost haha |

i actually kind of thought of this song different. in saosin's translating the name he talks about saving money and not being ready for one (a kid) and i'm pretty sure this song's about his unborn child and he finds out and he can either ditch the music he's making and become a father or keep playing music. "the amplifier screams out loud, for the last time" kind of makes me think he's saying goodbye to the music for good then he changes his mind "i would really love if you'd sit him down, i would really love if you'd pull this thread" kind of explain to the kid as it grows what happened. " i'll try my best to be home by then" when the mother is due and "i'd be a liar if i denied you at all" some guys get scared when they find out about they're a father and leave the girl but anthony's saying he won't do it |
