"Say hello to all the apples on the ground They were once in your eyes but you sneezed them out while sleeping " You don't realise you love me, you must of sleeping. This relates to Pet "Go back to sleep", sleep is ignorance. |

Okay taking it back to the theme of love "The apple of someone's eye the person who someone loves most and is very proud of" |

While the implied meaning behind the song is certainly about drug addiction. I personally interpret it as about Love.... and Drugs, juxtaposing the two ideas. To show how both are equally addicting. Nurses are stereotypically women, the nurse comes over more as a metaphor to me. "I'm taking her home with me all dressed in white" Not only do nurses wear white but typically wedding dressed are also white. I'm not looking at it as a literal story, rather a metaphoric interpretation. "pharmacy keys " being an infinite supply of drugs(love). "She acts just like a nurse with all the other guys " She acts just like another women with all the other guys. But he sees more in her and gets more from her than they will ever see. |

I have to agree with the war the statement totally "Face 2 Face". Most of the song can sound different, when I first heard the song I thought they were saying "Roses, send my love to god", "A Hand on each others throat". Looking at the lyrics, I have been corrected thank god lol. This song to me, is about learning to love yourself before you can truly love something else. This was emphasised with me thinking "A hand on each other" was being said a lot throughout the song. |

Below is an extract from an interview with Frank Carter(vocals) on rockworld.tv here is what he has to say about the song: Interviewer: Is it kind of like a sort of twisted love song? Frank: Yeah kind of, I’m mean It can be interpreted a whole bunch of ways . It’s maybe a little bit about my self, a little bit about everyone really. Frank: Err I dunno it's a hard one to... nail down. I think it’s been misinterpreted, a lot, people have not really understood. Stu :Take it a bit literally Frank: Yeah and I mean, at the same time it's supposed to be taken quite literally like, it’s about like, getting girls drunk to fuck, you know. It’s about like enjoying being sober and having a good time. Like everyone’s got their lust like, everyone feels it. I think its worse when you like cover it up and try to hide it. That’s when you sort of breed this monster, if you put it right out there everyone knows where you stand and everyone can just get on and be cool so. I think like everyone has it in them, the people that are like suppressing it will be worse off. At least with me like, you know where I stand right you know. Frank: I think, I dunno let’s see how much trouble that gets me :p *The song plays* Frank: Too many times, I see like stories on the TV about date rape like this and that, it really grates on me. It doesn't need to be that way, you know what I mean. Frank: I've been straight edge 7 years now (2007) and It's an important thing in my life. I sort of wanted to write a song about it, and the whole romance about it.I didn't and err I dunno where I'm going with this. Full interview: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=cw6eWVyMd2g |
