| Rush – Carve Away the Stone Lyrics

To me this song is about peoples sin and consciouses leaving a heavy burden on them, like Sisyphus, the king of Corinth, who, according to Greek legend, was condemned to forever roll a huge stone uphill that always rolled down again. |

Yeah, to ad to that. Apparently "taking the lot" refers to an orgy, too. What a fresh song in both the way it's referencing non-ancient technology (I won't say new) and it's pretty perverted. Also love the classic blues riff at the end. I got the new Satellite blues... All around great song and catchy too! And the videos great in a cheesy way! Ah-ha |

Sounds like to me the boys had fun recording the the abum in New York and being there for a longer time than a tour stop, they were able to hang out and meet fans and stuff. Maybe they're trying to despel the "you go to NY you get shot" train of thought. Just a thought. I don't get what the cage is referencing though. I heard of NY being refered to as the big apple, but a cage? Maybe from a movie or something or that irony thing baller was speaking of. |

Sounds like luck and randomness to me. I also see the "there's no god-ness" in this song. BTW, FYI, it's Geddy doing the rap verses. |

| Geddy Lee – Grace To Grace Lyrics

On Lee’s 2000 solo album My Favourite Headache, he co-wrote Grace to Grace another song dealing with his mother’s wartime experience.
The song, Lee explains, is partially about his mother’s courage, survival instincts, and “her ability to keep her head up” though all of the horror she lived through. |
