| Every band has it's influences, and it just so happens that The Beatles were Oasis'. The Misfits - Green Day. Tabitha's Secret - Matchbox Twenty (althogh some might say that they are actually the same band;)) some of Oasis' lyrics seem deep and meaningful, but are just random words strung together to sound smart - not that I'm critizising Noel's songwriting abilities... NOEL + LIAM = AWESOME SOUND, AWESOME LYRICS, AWESOME BAND!! Live Forever Oasis!! One of my favourites along with Champagne Supernova, Don't Look Back In Anger and Stop Crying Your Heart Out. | |

I think this song is about a chick who breaks up with her boyfriend for no apparent reason, maybe because she wants time apart, maybe because she just doesnt like him anymore. They're both getting some sympathy from their friends, relatives, the like because they've been in a relationship for years and it's finally ended. The chick, however, is getting heaps more attention and saying all this crap like the guy cheated on her, the guy beat her, just so she gets the attention. And then the guy realises the truth- the chick only broke up with him to get attention. I think this is evident in the line "And I'm standing in place With my head first And I shake I shake I shake And I see your progress Stretched out for miles" MB20 have been my favourite band for EVER and I was raised on them since I was about... 4. or 3 years old. If anyone has the guys' adresses so I can write to them, that would be awesome ;) |

| This song might be about either schizophrenia or Alzheimers Disease, because in both diseases the victims hear voices and imagine scenes that arent't real. But the victim (the narrator) wants people to know that although he has a mental illness, he doesn't want to be seen just for that, he doens't want to be reffered to as "that guy with that disease." | Listening back to it, I think that this song is about a guy who can't believe how lucky he is to have this girl in his life. He thinks that she doesn't know how he feels ("sometimes it's hard to believe you remember me"). Also he thinks that she might not always be there for him, but he loves her so much he doesn't care ("Will you be my shoulder/when I'm grey and older"). Well, hope you like my interpretation :) | |
