| Ben said on the the "Drive Well" tour video that this song was the most vicious song he's ever written. He said that another band member asked him, "Are you sure you want this on the album? It's gonna make you look like the biggest asshole." But he said basically that songwriters, screenwriters, etc. should have leeway to write stuff like this without it reflecting on them personally as though they ARE the character in the song. | |

> "those red strings: our insecurities" Until i just listened to that line really closely, I was sure it was: "Those red streaks... are insecurities" I interpreted the 'red streaks' like scratches, wounds. It made sense to me that way. But listening closely, it -is- definitely "strings." But I think "are" would work just as well if not better, than "our" in the sentence. Does anyone own an album with official lyrics so we can be sure? |
