| Immortal Technique – Harlem Streets Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I usually don't like rap music but Immortal is so fucking good | |
| Radiohead – Kid A Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| i always imagine this song being about a deformed child who can not play with the other children because of fear of being ridiculed, hes watching them from afar, pondering his own existance in the shadows at the end of his bed. | |
| Interpol – NYC Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| For me the "turn on the bright lights" refer to light therapy...i feel the song is describing depression and turning it around. a person saying that it has gotten the best of him and he is trying to do something about it by using light therapy...lets do it, lets get rid of what is eating me. its up to me, turn on the bright lights. | |

| Radiohead – The National Anthem Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
"Everyone Everyone around here Everyone is so near" "Everyone Everyone is so near Everyone has got the fear" about people locking themselves in, buying expensive alarmsystems, fearing your neighbour, being suspicious and distrustful of everyone, stuff like that..IMO |

| Radiohead – Kid A Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| some synthesizers in the song remind me of these little kid toys you shift up and theres a figure dancing while the music is going, you know? just a thought, it goes along the idea of "Kid A" being a person growing up, so this is probably somewhere from the age of 2 to 4? | |

| Pixies – Where Is My Mind? Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
this song makes me not want to care about anything, people all getting worked up about things..when listening to this song it makes me realise they just need to chill the fuck out "With your feet in the air and your head on the ground Try this trick and spin it, yeah Your head will collapse But there's nothing in it And you'll ask yourself Where is my mind" its like portraying a world turned upside down, and this song makes me ´kind of go "well i couldnt care less" |

| Weezer – Only in Dreams Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
heres my take: "You can't resist her She's in your bones She is your marrow And your ride home You can't avoid her She's in the air In between molecules Of oxygen and carbon dioxide" i think this is posing the mataphor which is; the body is constructed by skeleton, and without skeleton the body would deflate and be a piece of skin on the air. so he is simply saying: you are my skeleton about this girl. As for the oxygen and carbon dioxide he is simply telling us that she is everywhere for him, since air is all around and makes life possible. "Only in dreams We see what it means Reach out our hands Hold on to hers But when we wake It's all been erased And so it seems Only in dreams" maybe he cant have this girl, and can only be with her truly in his dreams. but when hes awake he faces reality: he cant have her. "You walk up to her Ask her to dance She says "hey baby I just might take the chance" You say "It's a good thing That you float in the air That way there's no way I will crush your pretty toenails into a thousand pieces." Only in dreams." this seem to be him imagining a situation where he is talking with this girl, the toenail referance indicates that he both has feelings of live/hate towards this girl. any thoughts? |

| 50 Cent – Get In My Car Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
anyone notice how the people who defend 50 cent ALWAYS have bad grammar and always resort to personal attacks as soon as they feel "offended" "omg lyke if yuo dont lyke 50 cnet tehn dont come here n talk shitt!!!!1" its hard to ignore this kind of distasteful music since its overely played on pretty much every media source. if i could learn to avoid this shit i would. trust me. but its fucking EVERYWHERE |

| Nine Inch Nails – All the Love in the World Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
This is a great opener. seems the lyrics describe a search of where he should belong, looking at awe at insects because they know their place and they have a really simple way of life. But also it seems suggested that he is in love with someone |

| Nine Inch Nails – Right Where It Belongs Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
i think the first part of this song describes how people make assumptions of other people based on ignorance/hatred. and by doing this we are cageing ourselves from living life 100% because it controls us "Feel the hollowness inside of your heart And it's all, right where it belongs" here it seems like he is saying that they deserve it aswell this song mainly deals with how ignorant and cruel and defective humanity actually is. "What if everything around you, Isn't quite as it seems? What if all the world you think you know, Is an elaborate dream? And if you look at your reflection, Is that all you want to be?" seems to be suggesting that humans hold themselves very highly and think they are superior but in reality, they are just afraid of what they really are. however i believe this song is also about introversion. ;) |
