This song is special...... the emotion from the music and his voice hit u so hard and before you can recover the images from the lyrics ........incredible!!! i feel the song is prolly bout a person with a terminal illness and personal acceptance of the inevitable, also bout the impact his death will have emotionally on his lover brilliant thats wat I tot when I heard it
"Wait in the fire" prolly the painful wait...............Reminds me like a stone by audioslave but WAY better ........its funny how these guys can alter your mood so drastically and make you think I hope i can be as good as them someday |

good song I agree its been over analyzed, the title explains it all its quite a general song bout somethin fuckin u up (prolly a girl or heroin in this case) and u don't know.... kurts voice sounds brilliant so primitively emotive but honestly I figure he was just wavin his rubber sword at all his problems while churnin out some unbelievable stuff some people are cursed to be great .... long live his memory |

It possibly is about the guitar I can totally relate to that Musicians usually tend to get attached to their instruments its prolly wat inspired this song, and the robert johnson thing is likely as an inspiration but i think its too beautiful to be anything other than a love song no matter wat the artist may have meant .........this is one of the best I've ever heard...... its the kind of song thats bigger than the band |

nice song brings to mind tough periods in peoples' lives which they can't run away from or dismiss as unimportant even if they try its gonna hit them as being bigger than they were ever willing to believe and hence are forced to deal with,....... it could also be a song of conflict between his intelligence and faith I'm not a religious person and I believe the whole concept of religion only causes trouble... But I love cornell's work and will have to admit he does use a lot of christian references, maybe he interprets the bible in his own personal way or not .... Wish i knew but his message could be anything or nothing either way it makes you think thats y i like his work apart from that F****** amazing voice |

I cant get this song out of my head the music or the pictures, the Images are incredibly graphic This song could mean so many things I first felt it could be about ending a relationship with someone you love when under impossible circumstances despite it being so painful knowing its for the greater good I Knew he was destroying something But the bird theory fits but then again He could've just drawn inspiration from it, the brilliant Thing bout cornell is the way he uses metaphors... he uses them to keep songs multi-dimensional so every individual can interpret his work depending on their own experiences and mindsets not having to pertain to to his own interpretation or interpretations THAT is why cornell is a genius, soundgarden kicks audioslave's buttocks and audioslave kicks anything else around today ;) long live |
