I think this song pretty much is about the realization of how fleeting everything is and how whatever you do eventually doesn't matter. especially around some kind of relationship. "Even the survivors will die in the end" how pointless everything is "you loose the silver lining as the clouds unfold" basically it may look good but as you get deeper into it and start to understand you realize it's not all that great this is just how i see the song awesome song though |

this song is amazing. i like the god analogy i didn't even think of that before i read it but now it seems to me that that's probably exactly what it is about we'd all like to believe in a god looking after us "we need something to touch. is that too much?" exactly right if only there was some sort of proof then there wouldn't be so much suffering..or just a product of our own hands because we cant cope with the way we live our lives |

i agree with Michelle, He believes the girl he loves doesn't love him back even when he's away. i especially like the lines you cry, at least made you feel something its horrible when you know someone just doesn't care enough to even feel emotion and he's clinging to the fact that if he can make her cry then she must feel something for him at least so he keeps trying to make her love him more and he just wants to know what to do to make her feel for him :) thats just my opinion |

| I love this song but i see a different meaning to the ones i've read here, well a slightly different one anyway. I believe it to be about a breakup at the start (especially with the mention of the continents dividing and floating free) but she doesn't want the breakup she still cares for the person even if they hurt her. i don't mind what the lyrics really mean but this is what they mean to me, a very lovely song | |
