This song seems to be about Obama and how many people voted for him just because of his race and didn't pay attention to his sketchy policys and under the table deals. Now many people who voted for him are already rethinking their decisions to throw in a "rockstar" as president, instead of concentrating on someone's race or color they should have focused on the content of his character. But we are all to blame because we voted him in, and now he has the lowest approval rating than any other president has had this quick into his presidency. |

this is pretty long but..... Wow, i had just listened to this song today and then decided to look it up on songmeanings, i found out the meaning of a guy dying by gunshot wound, and then after i closed out of the page, i get a call from my mom telling me that this dude i knew from church, (like one of the koolest dudes ever he was early 30s and drove a black H2 and always wore like AF type stuff) was cleaning out his guns and was found dead by his little 7th grade son ( i later found out that it was his wife who found him and that she stopped the son from walking in the room)... then the last the part of this song came to my mind like "OH MY...." it just seriously shocked me that i had just heard a song about the same instance and then moments later recieved a call that it had similarly happened to someone i knew... i guess ive been taking life for granted latley, last week the beginning of war all the time hit home when a friend i knew was jumping off of a cliff w/ his friends at the river when he got a cramp and the river took him away and he drowned....this cd is strangley erie in that it has literally predicted some tradgedies in my life recently
I dont mean to offend anyone so if christian things do than just ignore/dont read this "opinion" of mine but God has a plan for all of this whether i can see it right now or not..ive just gotta have faith... |

yeah im agreeing 100% with mynameiscody and terriblethingsx........this song states exactly waht im going through now, im constantly going back and forth between my christian friends that ive had all my life, and some friends that party all of the time, theres times where i feel like im the only person who is constantly being pulled back and forth like this whcih is also the title (the devil and God are raging inside me), and when it gets bad, i listen to this song to help me get through |

what do you all mean by "religous"? to me these songs dont have a hint of hindu or muslim influence, i was thinking that the Bible was where most of these references came from, like Christ-Follower or Christian things, where he's struggling between Christ and Satan inside of him, like what he know's is right and his self-desires, he starts to question whether he really ever accepted Christ as his savior or not, and it just seems like he's really confused about what to do (like what the album title says)...........well anyway this is just my opinion, i could be totally and completely wrong, but this is just what it sounded like to me that some of the songs were meaning |

wow, i just got into this band today and i have to say, i dont know why the crap i havnt every really listened to them before, all of their songs are amazing!!, i usually listen to stuff like underoath (post-hardcore) but now im drifting to softer music like so-co, this band is sweet |
