everyone is all about their loved ones and good times spent with them about this song. and it's completely not about that. okayy here's my spin: this couple is "in love" and whatnot. at first, there's nothing wrogn with anyone, they're all chill and cute and everything: "You say that you never want to go, when you're lying next to me I say that I want to take it slow, when you're lying next to me". later.... one of them totally wants the relationship and the other one totally wants sex. "You say a better place cannot be found, when you're lying next to me I say let's make my bed a playground, when you're lying next to me" it's kinda of like a slap in the face to everyone in relationships. it's saying how no one can ever be too sure about what the other person is thinking and how you might be totally infatuated with this person and they'll just be thinking about when they get to fuck you. and notice how the whole song, they're just lying around. if you lie around someone with a person you really admire, what are you going to do? have a tea party? it's actaully a great song, i love it. theend |

| Andrew Bird – A Nervous Tic Motion of the Head to the Left Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I think this song is about a meth/coke addict. it's pretty obvious (to me at least) "It's a nervous tic motion of the head to the left" that enough just screams "coke/meth" because when people are on coke and/or meth they twitch !!! and then... "Splayed out on a bath mat Six miles north of South Platte He just wants his life back What's in that paper nap sack" and also "You're what happens when two substances collide And by all accounts you really should have died." basically... it starts from the end where this guy is like, "why didn't i die from all those drugsss?" then, it starts in the beginning of his mystical journey when he's traveling on a plane in North Platte leaving whatever troubles he has. (and he has drug with him on the plane kind of like a maria full of grace thing). Then, he gets really into the drugs and is spralled out in a bathroom, and he feels remorse for doing all that meth. and like, so the end is just basicaly saying how he's drunk and high and why didn't he die when those two substances collided. theend |
