| Mindless Self Indulgence – I Hate Jimmy Page Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Let's bring some closure to this four-year long musical debate. Here it is: Jimmy Urine and Mindless Self Indulgence are allowed to say whatever they want. Jimmy Urine doesn't hate Jimmy Page, but if he wants to make songs titles like "I Hate Jimmy Page," or even a song titled "Fuck Abraham Lincoln," he can because he has the freedom of expression. Led Zeppelin is one of my favorite bands, and Jimmy Page one of my favorite guitarists. Mindless Self Indulgence is also another band that I have liked for close to 6 years now, saw them live last year, and Jimmy Urine even signed my shoe. In my opinion, as absurd and insane as MSI's music sounds, they're one of the few bands nowadays that are doing anything unique. Are they the most musically talented? No, probably not, but they're funny, and as I found out, they put on an entertaining live show. In conclusion: Led Zeppelin is awesome, and Mindless Self Indulgence is awesome. The end. |

| It's said that masturbation supposedly works as an aid for sleeping. Which is probably the premise behind the song here. | |
| Incubus – Megalomaniac Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Haha, I love the comment by the guy above me. I agree though, too many people think this song is about Bush. It's NOT ABOUT BUSH. You have about a thousand bands that already attack Bush, I highly doubt Incubus would go down the same route. The only thing that convinced people that this song had any connection to Bush was the video where a politician stands at a podium, speaking to people. This does not make it about Bush. This could refer to any and all politicians. I think the general theme of this song has already been explained several times, but what I believe is that this song is ALSO aimed at people such religious leaders. For example, in the video, an image of a guy who looks like a preacher, holding up a book that could be the Holy Bible. I've skimmed through the comments, though not all of them, but so far, I don't believe anyone has considered that this song is also about religious figureheads too. For example, when 9/11 happened, Reverend Jerry Falwell justified the attacks as being God's way of punishing America for being full of "immoral" people such as gays and people who practice other religions. He was trying to say that if everyone were devout Christians, it wouldn't have happened, in other words, saying that there was meant "to be only one." The line "So you would see that all of us are Heaven sent." means that we are all equal, and all special in our own way, and no one is to be discounted for their own way of life and/or beliefs. Of course, I still believe the song to be aimed at dictators (such as Hitler and Stalin) and political figures too, but then again, this song is aimed at ALL "megalomaniacs," or power hungry people who believe themselves to be great. |
