| Oh, and by the way, 7and7is, you forgot the Bloodhound Gang. lol Yea, Blood does happen alot in band names but then again, so does the word "the" It is sort of a stupid argument to support why a band sucks. (no offense meant) If you don't like them, you don't like them. That's fine and dandy but at least listen to their music before you trash 'em for their name hon. | |

I just heard this song a few days ago and I've really fallen in love with it. The whole transfer from The Cure-ish-like crooning to grungy Bush-ish-ness drove me nutters. ^^ I wanted to add on something I found when I googled "newspaper dress" though which might help a bit. It's a short limerick from an unknown author that I found on this site: http://www.anvari.org/shortjoke/Limericks/590.html There was a young lady named Hall, Wore a newspaper dress to a ball. The dress caught on fire And burned her entire Front page, sporting section, and all. I was also sort of confused about the part "and when they pulled you out you didn't know your name" Is that supposed to represent self-loss in a way or did the main person literally forget their name? Plus, I was wondering who exactly is telling the subject of the song about his life? Maybe it's an over-romantic view of it but I thought maybe Jane finally visited him and to remind him of both the mistakes they made it could be some sort of mystic narrator thing too. Who knows? But yea, overall great song. I'm glad I discovered this band. =) |
