| Bayside – Half A Life Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I know this wasn't meant to be the original meaning of the song, but after looking at Anthony's opinion about this year's warped tour, i feel like this could go out to the fans of Brokencyde, 3OH!3, Millionaires, The White Tie Affair, and the other fake bands that are on Warped this year. The fans simply listen to the music because it sounds good and don't even worry about whether the live performances are autotuned, fake drummed, and even lip-synced. They haven't gone deep inside themselves to figure out the meaning of the songs, and the "spoonfuls of shit" bands have added up and invaded warped tour. Again, I know this isn't what Ant orinally meant, but after listening to it now, I can relate it to these bands and their fans. |

| Bayside – Have Fun Storming The Castle Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I saw Ant at the Chameleon Club in February and he said the same thing. From what I get of it, it seems like The Jonas Brothers would fit the description. They got big off of Disney and the whole promise ring thing, and have now become famous by exploiting the Christian faith. Anyone else agree? | |
| The Fall of Troy – You Got A Deathwish Johnny Truant? Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| did you really just compare The Fall of Troy with Panic! At the Disco? | |
| Maylene and the Sons of Disaster – Dry The River Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| All the songs on II are based on Ma Barker and her gang. I think this is someone in the gang describing life in the gang. When he says he "kissed the dark horse" is him realizing that by joining the gang he is taking part in evil. Ma Barker was a boss during the Prohibition era so "Writing from the lost 30's" I believe is maybe about them smuggling alcohol into the country or missing the alcohol they are no longer allowed to have. | |
| A Day to Remember – I'm Made of Wax, Larry, What are You Made Of? (feat. Mike Hranica) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| It's "I need you to know, I told you so" instead of "I'm the answer to no one thought you're so." | |
| Killswitch Engage – For You Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| The first time I heard this song, I made the connection to Jesus/God. I think it is about how he wants to and strives to be like Jesus. Like guitarplaya said, Jesus is the only person who was completely perfect, without sin. When he says "no more wasted days/the past mush perish," he is saying that he has wasted time and not made good decisions in terms of God/sins in his past and he must be forgiven for these sins. | |
| Rise Against – Hero of War Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I just listened to this song for the first time and I don't think it's necessarily criticizing all soldiers. The first verse shows the pride the soldier felt when first signing up for the army, only until he saw the other soldiers, and finally joining in, pissing and beating on the father. This verse I believe is criticizing the actions of soldiers involved in Abu ghraib (sorry if i misspelled it) and other situations like this. The second situation, with the woman, I believe is to show the impossible position that both the soldier and the woman are in. She wants peace, as seen in the white flag, but the soldier does not know this. For all he knows, like bradley906 said, the woman could just be baiting the troops into the bomb strapped to her chest. So, the soldier must do the only thing he can to protect his own life - shoot the woman. Only after this does he realize she did not have the bomb and just wanted peace. |

| Emmure – Tales From The Burg Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| i think he is dissing the pirates. he's a fan of the pirates' arch-rivals (cubs maybe? i'm really not sure on exactly what team), but he's trying to say the guy she cheated on him with is a major d-bag because he's a pirates fan. hence the "how much lower can you go in life?" part | |
| Bayside – Landing Feet First Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| it's "i've traded brick for straw in this house i built around my heart so when you came it wouldn't be so tough, no huff and puff could dismantle us" | |
| The Sleeping – 3 Cigarettes Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I saw the sleeping in october and doug said that this song was about the devil. so i'm thinking it's about the same girl in the Big Breakdowns. She keeps lying to him and he knows that they don't belong together, yet when they're not together he's "a mess." | |
| Bayside – Thankfully Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| in the first verse it's "to latch on to something less stable, less good" | |
| A Day to Remember – Heartless Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| has anyone heard the re-issue version of the song? i didn't think it could get any better but they slowed it down and it really catches the emotion of the song | |

| A Day to Remember – Heartless Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Just because a band's songs are about girls doesn't mean they are emo. A Day To Remember is more a cross of pop-punk with hardcore. They are anything but emo and are fucking amazing live. | |
| The Sleeping – Heart Beatz Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| R.I.P. John Beatz | |
| Bayside – Cold And Blue And Lifeless Lyrics | 18 years ago |

| Atreyu – Falling Down Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| definately atreyu's worst song ever. if i didn't know it was atreyu, i'd have thought it was green day | |
| Atreyu – Doomsday Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| while at first i didn't like it because it didnt sound like the atreyu we all know, i think this is still a good cd. it is still better than any of the really popular bands of today's albums. i like the old atreyu better, but this cd really is a good cd | |
| Silverstein – Here Today, Gone Tomorrow Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
The song is about John "Beatz" Holohan the former drummer of Bayside who died in a tour bus accident. "An icy road with no remorse, A metal box drifting off course is taking anything" is referring to the accident. In the actual lyric booklet it says RIP Beatz at the end of the song R.I.P. John Beatz |
|
| Family Force 5 – Replace Me Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| anyone else catch the reference to nirvana's "heart shaped box? | |
| Four Letter Lie – Naked Girl Avalanche Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|

|
| Senses Fail – Every Day Is A Struggle Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
the cd as a whole is about buddy suffering from depression and this song explains why he suffers from it. he went out with a girl for a long time and was very happy "so much for the best year" and then she broke up with him, and he did everything he could to get her back, even putting his faith into something he has never believed in, God. this sort of explains the rapture, as it is the fall out from his faith for the past year. then he can't get her back and gets to drinking and going into the depression |
|
| Bayside – The Walking Wounded Lyrics | 19 years ago |

| Brand New – Millstone Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| what's with all these "from official booklet" posts, the cd did not come with a lyric booklet | |
| 30 Seconds to Mars – The Kill Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| for those wondering what the video is about, its off of stephen king's book, the shining, where the characters get stuck in an abandoned hotel | |
| Silverstein – November Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
on the dvd that came with discovering the waterfront there's a live performance where he dedicates november to bayside maybe not specifically about john beatz, but maybe about someone who died? |
|
| Silverstein – My Heroine Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
i think the title is a play on words heroine means both a woman and drug he used to think that the girl was his female hero, or heroine, but as the relationship goes on, he sees her as sort of a heroin, as in the drug. as the relationship goes on, he is scared to break up even though he knows he has to as in "I'll break you my habit." |
|
| Senses Fail – Sick Or Sane (Fifty For A Twenty) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| it never says "she's grace" lyrics from the cd booklet say "she screams" | |
