| This song is beautiful, it has a great message and it's just pretty. Probably one of my favorites. | |
| Rufus Wainwright – The Consort Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song is beatiful, beautiful, beautiful. I'm not entirely sure what it means, but I think littlelover has the right idea. I think that Rufus adresses the man he's sleeping with as his 'queen' in reference to the word's use in slang in terms of homosexuality, although I really would like to know who his queen's rival is... | |
| Rufus Wainwright – I Eat Dinner (When the Hunger's Gone) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Maybe I'm taking this song too literally, but I just think it's about finding yourself without love and how lonely that is. "No more small talk when the hunger's gone," this line reminds me of how when you go on a date or something and you're done eating, you don't just get up and leave...you might have a conversation with your lover, because eating dinner can also double as a social activity. Here, he's saying that dinner has become just another necessary life function, because even though he's done eating, dinner can really only consist of that. He has no one to talk to or love to make it anything else. | |

Some of these lyrics are wrong...I think what he says is "When I get home, I will dream in Barnes and Nobles Don't leave me here, don't leave me Where angels fear to tread When I get back, I will bleed after my beating Don't leave me here, don't leave me here, I'm scared to death |
