There are many different theories right now about the lines "Held the purse of a different kind along with the people inside" Personally, I think that the second part [along with the people inside] actually has nothing to do with the rest of the verse, as it is a repetitious line. Now, i know that generally Panic! does not put things into thier songs which have no meaning, so just repeating a line becuase it rhymes does not sound like the knid of thing that they would do. However, I personally think that in repeating that line, they are trying to tie the "two" substories together [the police/crash and the lawyer/hooker stories[ in a way whic would make it obvious and easy to interpret. But, as usual, I along with many other people have the habit of "over-reading" into these songs, so I may have at first thought that to be too simple .. I always used to agree with the little black book/palm pilot theory. But now, as I re-read into them, i belive that my interpretation of it just being there to tie in two stories is correct. [note: this is just my opinion, please do not just sit there and yell at me if you believe that I am wrong. thank you in advance] That being said, this means that the lines "Held the purse of a different kind" can be interpreted in a variety of different ways. This is where i have to ask for some help in thinking, as doing all that other thinking has really made my thinker stop working. ..any ideas/suggestions/comments about my theory?? |

You see what you working with, go ahead be gone with it, You make me smile, go ahead be gone with it, There's a line missing here ... it should read: You see what you working with, go ahead be gone with it, Look at those Hips, go ahead be gone with it, You make me smile, go ahead be gone with it, |

The lines [Make us hip, make us it, make us scene] Are also representing the different "types" of music genres that the cator to, in my opinion. Where "Make us hip" is referring to the disco part and to the disco fans of thier music..."make us it" is referring to the wide variety or "pop" fans, and "make us scene" is obviously referring to the scene kids. This shows that they are not just once stereotypical category genre of music, but the play for many different groups of people. |

This song would take years for me to write out what each line means, line by line, but everyone is right... it is about drugs and addiction. Just think very very "druggie-ish" when you listen to this song and you will understand the entire thing. Also, www.urbandictionary.com is a very good source for finding out what some nicknames mean. |

Or was it God who chokes in these situations? Or was it God who chokes in these situations? Running late? No no, he called in, he called in. I think this is making fun of people who try to blame everything on God when their life gets messed up. P!atD just shows how ridiculous this is and whatever mess you are in you got yourself in. |

@B12 First of all, if you dislike Panic! at the Disco so much, then why do you listen to thier songs? Don't tell me you don't, how would you know there is snapping in these songs? Secondly, what is the point of making fun of P!atD all the time? Just go back into your little LALA land of "Anorexia Nervosa" and etc.. And lastly: IF YOU HATE P!ATD SO MUCH WHY ARE THEY ON YOUR LIST OF FAVOURITE ARTISTS? |

Last night I had a brain flash... But I tend to be the type of person who reads into songs too easily so maybe thats what im doing now: here goes The part about "between her and the badge" I thought what if the cop had set up the woman to bust the filthy old attourney and then the "crash" was her and the cop became intimate...then later when she was with the attorney she tells him everything about the setup and "spills her purse" - ie tells about the cop. Hmm? |

| Panic! at the Disco – Lying Is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
The quote is "Lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking her clothes off, but it's better if you do." Listen to "Lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking her clothes off" "But it's better if you do" and "I write sins not tragedies" in that order. It tells the story of a guy, who meets a girl, has sex with her and then proposes to her. Then hes at the bachelor party and meets another girl...then she meets another guy as well. He finds outm then the wedding is called off. |

Harlequin can also be a doll which is one at a fair or some sort of gathering = a girl who is "won" and "taken home" ie. a prostitute Testosterone is the male horomone which makes boys "macho" [for lack of a better word]. Therefore, the "macho" guy finds or "wins" his harlequin girl, or "prostitute" This is my interpretation of that line...or am I looking into it too much? That's my problem, always over-analysing... |

| erm, i meant "well-read" not "weel-read" | |
| Panic! at the Disco – There's a Good Reason These Tables Are Numbered Honey, You Just Haven't Thought of It Yet Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Another thing about this song, and about all of Panic!s songs, if you want to be technical is thier use of less modernized words... words like "slacks" and "poise"... this shows that the boys are definately weel-read and literate, and is shown more in the references to Chuck Palahnuik's novels. I think it's great that there are bands out there who don' have to resort to slang to get a point across. By the way, "You're a Diva" Ya, that line os totally about me :) |

In my perspective, this song tells the story of a girl who is outcast at a party, and yes, it does remind me of Aladdin as well. Catchy beat and my favourite song on the album. that line has my name all over it. |
