Does no-one think the whole riff is nearly a straight ripoff of 'Got Me Wrong' by Alice in Chains? It's the exact same tune! |

| Well I wouldn't go that far nurvana92fan, but you can definitely hear the Grunge influence in all their work, this album especially and even more so in this song. | |
| Blue Man Group – The Current Lyrics | 18 years ago |

"This song takes place in the subterranean portion of the urban complex. It’s the place where all the phone lines, electrical wires, and Internet connections snake out of sight to their destinations. We wanted to capture the modern paradox of having access to millions of people through electrical current but still being cut off from any real human contact. It’s also about getting stuck in a pattern, becoming a slave to one’s job or perhaps more specifically, a slave to technology. Musically, we wanted to express the kind of quiet rage that can build up over time when people feel trapped, alone and unable to control their own destiny. To really play up the “Man verses Machine” vibe, we decided to use synthesizer loops and drum machines in the verses. Real drums and guitars interrupt for a moment but then get sucked away and it’s back to the cold, mechanistic sounds. At the chorus, when the protagonist fantasizes about getting away, the guitars and drums finally explode and become the dominant force. But again, it doesn’t last. They never quite break free. The song ends with the machines back in charge." -Exerpt from http://www.blueman.com/music/unmasked/u_sbftc.shtml |

| Crossfade – The Deep End Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I'm probably gonna get a hail of abuse but this song reminds me of Limp Bizkit just a little bit, and that tiny solo remonds me of Junkhead by Alice in Chains | |
| Soundgarden – Slaves & Bulldozers Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Has anyone noticed how the intro sounds like the intro to Electric Funeral by Black Sabbath? Just me, then? |

First to comment, oh well. The intro to this sounds so much like the intro to Denial by Sevendust. |

The lyrics to the verses are comlpetely wrong! What did you say to me I'm not a novelty You're playing revelry But no one's listening I am a simple man Without a simple plan Let's make this easy And just get out while we can I'm the one you want Hey Ladybug You were always on the mind of everyone Ladybug, You're pathetic and I've said it more than once Ladybug, I believe you couldn't reach me where I am Where my feet won't hit the ground The time is passing by You're my insecticide The pressure's on the rise And I'm right on time Beautiful enemy I'll fix your broken wings And let you lie here until You fly away from me I'm the one you want Hey Ladybug You were always on the mind of everyone Ladybug, you're pathetic and I've said it more than once Ladybug, I believe you couldn't reach me where I am Where my feet won't hit the ground What did you say to me I'm only here to clip your wings You cut me down to size I'm only living my life Ladybug, you were always on the mind of everyone Ladybug, you're pathetic and I've said it more than once Ladybug, I believe you couldn't reach me where I am Where my feet won't hit the ground Where my feet won't hit the ground Where my feet won't hit the ground Where my feet won't hit the ground |

I don't dispute the drug meaning as most of Nickelback's songs have them, but i also derived the meaning of some other lines like an attempted muggin/robbery that ended in an accident (if it had worked like she said it would, just like living in Hollywood) meaning they'd be rich. The Hollywood and Normandy line I thought would be a reference to the victim being a veteran of WWII and how people have no respect for them, to survive that and be killed by a thug, disgusting. |

| This totally sounds like Nirvana. | |
| Nickelback – Just For Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Only just found out that this is a re-recording of the track "Just Four" from their 1996 album Curb. 10 years, wow. |

| Seether – Plastic Man Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| The way his voice goes up when he sings the chorus is absolutely awesome. The best 'nice sounding' song on the album. | |
| Audioslave – Heaven's Dead Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I think this is the weakest song 'Slave have done, along with Like a Stone. | |
| Seether – Because Of Me Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| In the second verse. Isn't it 'he' instead of 'she'? | |
| Seether – Given Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I thought it was about virginity, attempted rape and then finding out it as voluntary all along. "Never believe I do this for me. And never believe I'll do this gently." Virginity anyone? "You're leading me on again. And I find it, yeah I like it." That's the attempted rape. "I'm reeling in awe for sure, now I know it was given to me..." the rapist finding out she wanted him to anyway. |

Am I the only one who thinks it sounds like "So keep the way you feel anonymous." more than "So keep the way you're feeling out of this." I haven't looked at the lyrics book yet, but it definitely sounds like that to me. |

| Nickelback – Yanking Out My Heart Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This was the only version that was for sale by me. I didn't even know this, "Learn the Hard Way" and "Saturday Night's Alright" were bonus tracks. | |
| Audioslave – Man or Animal Lyrics | 19 years ago |

To me, I thought it was an old man who's married like a 22 year old who's only with him for the money, eventually he'll die and she'll get all his money. "You give me a heart attack, I will give you more than that." Oh yeah, and he's a filthy mofo in the sack. Bleurgh! |
