TheThirdDuke, if you look up BOTAR's EP, with this song on it, you'll see that it was performed by Catch 22 but never recorded. In any case, this is an amazing song. Basically saying, "despite the mistakes my heroes have made, that's not the path I'm headed for." Ackkkkkk, I loooooooves it. |

| Bomb the Music Industry! – Syke! Life is AWESOME! Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| For one, Mattt, it's "To LEAVE or Die In Long Island," but I agree. It's just billions of genres clashing and leaving something great behind. I lovessss it. :D | |

| LessThanJake4Life, I think you're missing the point of the site. You're SUPPOSED to explain where the song came from. At least The_Rabbit42 is getting their information from a valid source. | |
| NOFX – Seeing Double at the Triple Rock Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
"It's about Drink and Drugs and religion" I don't think it's so much about religion as it is that he started using religion as a metaphor for drinking. "I'm a religious drunk/and this is where I pray." "Keep the holy water flowing" is more about "keep the drinks coming" than it is blessing someone. And "The church of alcoholics/can't break up the congregation" is about how they're not changing their lifestyle anytime soon. "a long night of confessions" is about how much freer most people get when influenced by alcohol--often giving away secrets they wouldn't otherwise. Anyway, I really love the song for that verse, I love the use of metaphors in it. Also, I could imagine somebody parodying the song as "Seeing Triple at the Doubletree," haha. |

I love Less Than Jake and all, but I find it completely hysterical that after singing about drinking is overrated ("so is always getting wasted") they're calling for someone to bring Jager onstage. At least, they were when I saw them. Still a good song, and inhib, both you and 21deadmonkeys are right when you say they sound like Bowling For Soup, lol. I don't think they sold out, though. I was actually surprised with the horn section on the latest album, I expected a lot less, judging by how much the horns were lacking (or at least...how little you could hear, whatever) on Anthem. Still, the new album's great, you have to love LTJ no matter what. ;P |

I don't know about you guys, but I always relate the line "So many years, so many broken mirrors" to Heroin Bob from SLC Punk and his broken mirrors ...But that's just me so whatever. |

| 50 Cent – Candy Shop Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I find it funny that most people posting here keep saying "and if you like rap then you're a dumbass," yet barely anyone posting here has actually said they like rap. And it's not like those people took the time to read the comments of others. Also, a lot of people said that all rap sucks; however it's obvious they are basing their opinion of mainstream rap of today. There is such thing as clever, intelligent rap, that addresses problems in politics and society in a witty way. Ever heard of MC Lars? He calls himself a post-punk laptop rapper, and proves that rappers can be smart people, seeing as he graduated from fuckin' STANFORD this year. It sickens me when people make generalizations like that, even if most rap people see is bullshit like this song. Take some time to look at some not-so-popular artists before you babble on about how a certain genre is total crap. Open-mindedness is a good thing, loves. Now, about this song. Bullshit covers things nicely, don't you think? 50 Cent needs to get over his "gangsta" self. |

| Less Than Jake – Boomtown Lyrics | 19 years ago |

ShesMyAlcatraz, I don't know what the hell you're talking about. This song has nothing to do with pep rallies. As you may or may not know, LTJ is from Florida, and we've been having some screwy ass problems with too many damn people living here for, about, ever. High rises have been the in thing for quite a while now too ("the rest of Boomtown is only getting taller"). So basically the song is about places like Florida, that become "the best place to live!!!" and get way overpopulated. P.S. Traffic really is that bad here. D: |
