I personally believe that this is one of the few ATDI songs about a romantic relationship. With allusions and comparisons to princesses, matresses, Italian shirts, etc., I can't help but think Cedric is singing about a particular girl here. Seems to have a theme of hopeless devotion with a tinge of jealousy, mostly because of... "Eeyor chase your own" -- I hope everyone here knows the significance of 'Eeyor' in folklore/fairytales. And: "A princess' work is never done In the bed and breakfast beck and call" Here, I get the sense that she's demanding and maybe a bit spoiled, but he's willing to do anything. There are other hints to a relationship in this song, including the title, but I am way too tired to explain them (it's 4 am). |
