| Circa Survive – Get Out Lyrics

I'll give you guys a clue.. They love using homophonic transformations in lyrics. That will answer a lot of your questions.
From the Appendage EP, which everyone should go and buy: "Underground/ On the ground"
Get Out: "I can't wait to understand the reason/ I can't wait to understand 'theism'/ I can't wait to understand 'there is him'"
Have fun guys ;) |

This ties in to the whole theme of the EP, especially with 'Every Way'. I'm only deducing these meanings from what they write about in all their other albums and EPs. |

It's about how believing in a god that most people believe in, in today's main religions, doesn't make sense. They're always asking why it never makes sense, and they come to the conclusion that all religions are wrong and that to fully understand the god (that's "beyond space and time" that the scriptures and the biblical texts presents) he must step inside the universe to clear the confusion, but he's not because the real god isn't close to being what people think. And as much as it seems to people that they may be blaspheming, they're trying to clear up the confusion and make it clearer that the real god or creator is better than what any religion has come close to explaining. Anthony is being really conscious about his surroundings and his place in the universe and that it's beyond anything anyone had imagined, with "allowance received and I can't believe there's anything like this" where allowance means this jackpot of a realization. And then with "'cause if you're half as good as you say you are, then you can prove anything to us" means that the abrahamic god isn't truth, because if he really is half as good, he could easily clear up the confusion and vagueness that the bible presents. |

He did. He says "moses" at 0:29 twice or something, and then "jesus" at 0:36 and 0:46. haha creepy |

"what am I gonna be doin for a wife
said I'm gonna play with myself
Show them!
Now, we've come off the shelf.. So what?"
I feel like this part has to do with how perhaps Bradley doesn't care if they start to sell records. "Now we've come off the shelf.. so what?" In a it's kinda pointless in the end anyway kinda way. |

Nujabes is a genius. RIP. The cut after "All formulas equalize under the Sun, Amen!" is mind-blowing. Listen to it carefully. Crazy, crazy, CRAZY rhythm. One of the most creatives I've seen/heard. |

You don't know how they wake up in the morning?- "I don't know" is right. Try knowing sometime. I hear it's real good for the mind. The Pale Blue Dot by Carl Sagan is extremely well written, very poetic, very endearing and mind-opening. It is very spiritual. People who "really think this world is it" can be spiritual and good people too. Anywho.. The song's title does in fact come from the NASA photograph and Carl Sagan's book. |

| Dance Gavin Dance – Untitled Lyrics

I think it's straight forward but at the same time very meaningful. I think it's about the inner conflicts, or if not then the superficial conflicts in the world between peoples, about what to believe. If we have meaning and purpose in life or not. There's underlying implications towards the belief in a deity or none at all.. but if the latter, then we've reached this point to make a purpose and meaning for ourselves, even though our origins appeared to be purposeless and meaningless. |

Anyway... the title is in reference to the evolutionist philosopher Daniel Dennett's coined term 'skyhook' which explains that the planet needs something better like a crane to explain the origin of life on this planet, as opposed to the skyhook, which needs even more of a bigger explanation. Keep it up, DGD.. love the lyrics and its implications. |

Actually, I think you got the translation from babelfish?
They actually sing:
Blood, Blood of a Rose,
Continue in peace without the past.
Rest, rest your soul,
she will die in the baptizing of the flames. |

| Circa Survive – On Letting Go Lyrics

Firstly, these lyrics are wrong. I'm going to go by the lyrics pamphlet that came with the CD which can be read under deekismusic's comment. Anywho:
This is one of my favorite songs on this album and maybe all of Circa's work. I think Anthony is trying to portray his wanting and belongingness in his former band which I hate to mention. He just wanted to fit in. But his frustration that ensued after his leaving can be seen in "All I wanted to be was one of your children... are we even now?" |

I love Casey, The Dear Hunter, and everything that goes with it. I agree with what Ferratto says about what's behind these lyrics. Or above superficially. One of my favorite albums over. Act II.. |

It really doesn't sound like Saosin, indeed, but it's sitll a really great song, nonetheless. They've never performed this song live before, and I'm fortunate to witness the very first time they performed it live on their official album release show. It was great. Keep it up, Saosin. Love and support, you're my favorite band. |

I love this song as many of you here do! I head this song months ago and thought about looking for the lyrics here. This song is definitely cheerful. The guitar is Hawaiian-esque and goes well on a playlist with Jack Johnson's Banana Pancakes. |
