| The Used – Lunacy Fringe Lyrics | 19 years ago |

i really love the part at the end where he repeats the first couple verses. i don't think whoever entered these lyrics put that in there, but it's a really great part. he says the first couple lines ( "Wake up My love Never thought you’d make me, break me Now I’m up, from below Such a brilliant star you are" ) and REALLY ennunciantes the "P" in "UP" and the "V" in "LOVE". it sounds so great because the first time he sang those lines, it was normal. almost a little...joyful. and then the last time, he sounded a little angrier. and it gave the song contrast. i really liked that. |

| The Used – Take It Away Lyrics | 19 years ago |
"I'm lying to myself and this dagger's my excuse" genious. again. to me, this song is about trust. having somebody you really trust when the times are getting harder. not someone you "LOVE" necessarily, but somebody you trust. somebody you feel can make all the bad go away, right when you need it to the most. and in this song, the things he doesn't want around are things like the sun and light. not literally, but hypothetically. like he's saying... because of the light, he can clearly see the bad things going on around him. and if the person he trusts took that away, then he would be able to block it out, if only for a little while. that's how i feel anyways. i'm not sure how other people interpret it. i haven't read anyone elses comments on this yet. another magnificent creation by bert and the boys. kudos. |

| The Used – Listening Lyrics | 19 years ago |
here's what i think. i think, that it's not about specific "types" of people, like "hot topic" kids or girlfriends or enemies or anything. it's just about people that frustrate him (and others, because this song is put out in a way that everyone can half their own meaning for it.) in general. because there's probably alot of people. there's alot of people that frustrate me, and i could dedicate this to any one of them without controversy. it would make perfect sense in every direction. so i think he's just trying to say... "fuck off". to the people that frustrate him and deserve it the most. because this song could go any way he (or anyone else) wants it to. you just have to interpret it yourself, and not just listen to it trying to grasp HIS meaning for it. because...well, to each his own. right? hats off to bert. he's an amazing man. |

| The Unicorns – Child Star Lyrics | 19 years ago |
does anyone else want to punch "iluvmyfender129" in the ovaries? because i do. i bet she doesn't even HAVE boyfriend. he sounds made up. not to bitch at her for it. i'm just saying he sounds made up. and their sexuality doesn't matter. although i will tell you that alden penner is homosexual. so there you go. |
| The Unicorns – Jellybones Lyrics | 19 years ago |
yeah, nick has said this song is about boners and the music video is amazing and yeah, alden's homosexual. who cares? an amazing band, none the less. and obviuosly my favourite. not my favourite song though we'll leave THAT to Tuff Ghost... *sigh* |

| Blink-182 – Stockholm Syndrome Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Mark says: "The beginning of this song has letters that my grandfather wrote to my Grandmother during World War Two. Joanne Whalley came into the studio and read them. The song itself is about paranoia. Being afraid of the outside world, convinced that people can hear your thoughts." |
| Blink-182 – Obvious Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I think I have to disagree. Because even though Feeling This is an amazing song, it lost it's "edge", it's "oomph" when they released it as a single, from all the little kids yelling the wrong lyrics. I wouldn't want that to happen to such a powerful song like Obvious, let's let the real fans enjoy it. |

and also, the lyrics are "I got no regret right now The air is so cold and LOW" not null. sorry. you fail. |

| Blink-182 – Feeling This Lyrics | 19 years ago |
For the part in the song where Tom screams "Fate fell short this time, your smile fades in the summer. Place your hand in mine, I'll leave when I wanna" they used a 30 foot long living room with the microphones 10 to 15 feet away from him. I think that's really cool. |
| Blink-182 – I'm Lost Without You Lyrics | 19 years ago |
For this song, Tom says: "The original idea for this song was to have the chorus be the verse and have there be no chorus, just gigantic, heavy guitars. We worked on this song for about 6 months and it kept just getting better and better, and stranger and stranger. This song is one that could only be fully realized when listened to with headphones. To hear the 50 or so tracks that were recorded on this song, you need a dim room and a somber mood. As the song ends, two drum sets play off eachother and take you to a different place, as does each of the verses that were recorded separately from each other. One of which was a 1960's effect by singing through a rotating speaker. it sounds like I'm underwater but it's fucking cool. The feedback in the middle of the song was a one take art form of making the guitar sound really tweaked and ugly. I say art form because to make the guitar sound that way you constantly have to twist and turn it like an acrobat on drugs." amazing. |

| Blink-182 – Asthenia Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Tom says: "This song is about one thing only, an astronaut sitting in a space capsule about the size of a car, floating above the earth. He's contemplating if even coming back or not will make a difference on such a negative place. A song about the loss of hope. A term was coined for the breakdown of life in space and it is called Asthenia, the name of the track. At the beginning of the song are actual NASA transmissions." Marvelous. |

| Blink-182 – Violence Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I watched them record this song, and I have to say that it's probably my favourite on the album. Here's why: A.) It shows an extremely artistic side of the guys, just the way it's not all hard guitar or hard drums all the way through. B.) The way that instead of actually singing they did spoken word was really cool, and Tom did an amazing job. C.) Tom says: "I thought of one thing in my head, a scenario of a bar, late at night when a pretty female walks into the building during a fast paced hardcore dance song. I thought of every guy in that room looking at her and lusting after her. Each one not paying attention to any detail present except her." I think that's a very artistic way of thinking. Alot of artists would, instead of so detailed on how the guys feel, say or write basically about how she's just really hot. Mark says: "This song is a pairing of seemingly incompatible music styles. I love the bridge. It takes the listener to such a different place, very smooth and beautiful." I totally agree with that, it's very different. And no, I didn't leave Travis out, he didn't say anything about this song. |

| Blink-182 – Always Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Always was mixed by Andy Wallace, and he did a really good job of it. Andy Wallace also mixed "Violence", "Stockholm Syndrome", and "Go". "Violence", in my opinion, is probably the best song on the album. All of the songs on the album were produced by Jerry Finn, except for "Fallen Interlude", which was recorded by Sick Jacken. this song DOES show how amazing a drummer Travis Barker is. |

| Blink-182 – Dead Man's Curve (Jan and Dean cover) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
yeah, they record this in Urethra Chronicles 1. well a clip of it is shown. also, it's just about somebody (most likely an enemy or rival) challenging him to a drag race down dead man's curve, and him accepting. then, closer to the actual race, he gets worried, but tells himself he's just being a chicken, and then does it. and also, his friends tell him not to do it, that he would die/get hurt. then he does it. "Well, the last thing I remember, Doc, I started to swerve. And then I saw the Jag slide into the curve. I know I'll never forget that horrible sight, I guess I found out for myself that everyone was right won't come back from dead man's curve" so basically, he did it, then crashed, everyone telling him not to race was right, and he's telling the doctor about what happened. a.k.a. he's not dead. |

| Alexisonfire – .44 Caliber Love Letter Lyrics | 19 years ago |
i love this song...i'm like the only person saying something... awkward. i love the "this is a .44 caliber love letter, straight from my heart." spoken word part. also, i know this is the wrong thread for this, but why are all those people commenting on artist's pages just to say how much they suck? i don't understand. oh well... ALSO george's last name isn't Pettit. it's Logan. get it right. and maybe nobody said anything about that in this thread, but they have. so...yeah. |

| Blink-182 – Anthem, Pt. 2 Lyrics | 19 years ago |
"My favourite song ever. Blink-182 needs to do more songs like this, then again, they can do whatever they want. Tom (who wrote the lyrics) said he was proud of this song and that it was about how things in the world had been screwed up by the adults in charge and how this was having effects on younger generations who were falling in the same traps. If the people in power weren't such fucking idiots then they'd give kids way more freedom and let them help them solve problems so that the world wouldn't dig itself into much deeper shit. Kids/teens deserve much more than they get." I LOVE YOU. |

| Blink-182 – Cream of a Chode Lyrics | 19 years ago |
AYAchuCO: "and i, being a college freshman, could write their next cd" that was probably the biggest whore asshole comment i ever wasted my time reading fuck you. and honestly, i could care less what you think. or anyone else like you for that matter. even if you do like blink 182, thats a pretty stupid thing to say. your mom's a whore. fuck, okay. heres my thing: no matter what people think, besides classics like The Ramones and The Sex Pistols, i think blink 182 is punk. they're original punk, not stupid lame-ass "pop punk" like sum 41 or whatever. they're real music, and if it HAD to be categorized, then yeah, it would be considered "punk". but honestly, they're their own category. the most original band in the world. thanks. "and i, being a college freshman, could write their next cd" ... whore. |

| Blink-182 – Genie in a Bottle Lyrics | 19 years ago |
blink 182 are amazing song writers, because even though this is just Genie in a Bottle and 13 miles, for anyone who REALLY loves blink 182, it's a song, because we're used to their style of writing. like Family Reunion. if you compare that to any other "song" by any other band, whoever you compare it to doesn't own up. blink 182 can write hillarious songs, serious songs, or just plain good songs in a matter of minutes. like dammit. it took mark 5 minutes to write that song. |
| Blink-182 – Everytime I Look for You Lyrics | 19 years ago |
yeah, in one of their dvds, mark does say he has no idea what the song means. he wasn't writing it to be about himself, or literal, just about...people in general. like Dysentary Gary, that wasn't ACTUALLY happening to Tom, but it has happened to him in the past, and he wrote it for other people. because that happens to other people every day. so yeah. there you go. this is an amazing song. and an amazing band. |
| Blink-182 – Dancing with Myself (Billy Idol cover) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Sniperwulf 2, FUCK YOU. if you hate blink 182, and all their fans, why the fuck are you posting a comment? get out of here, you stupid little fucker. and everyone who's going to say "dont be so angry" SHUTUP. i love blink 182. they are probably, no, definetly, the best band in the world. unlike stupid follower wannabe grunge bands like Slayer and Rancid, blink 182 is something they obviously arent: ORIGINAL. yeah, you might be able to relate them to some other bands, but they're not at ALL as similar as others. they teach kids that it's okay to be yourself and it's okay to be funny and stupid. but they also teach kids that, as much as they can be funny and stupid, they're incredibly intelligent, and they have something to say. like tom's years of research on aliens and UFO's. do you know how long it has taken him to get all the sponsors and ideas and information he has? so before you say they're just a "stupid pop-punk copycat band", think a little. and research a little. and just don't say it. you'll just end up being beaten to death. anyways, this song is a really fun cover, and they did a very good job. (when blink 182 covers songs, it's not supposed to be SERIOUS. so...this one's perfect.) thanks. |
