ah i love this song. it makes me think of a failed relationship, and thinking back to when you were younger and weren't troubled by love. i think these lyrics might be wrong, i hear 'nobody knows what happens when you're alone now' and not 'Nobody knows what happens when the moon blew now'... which makes me think of someone who is relationship dependant, and always needs someone. |

this song seems to me to be about a marriage, because of the two rings (engagement, wedding) that she wants to end because her husband is cheating on her. the 'bigger than the sound' bit seems to me to be about love, sometimes she thinks she's above it. but she needs it, so she stays with him. ' i'll wear them on a rainy day' - she'll accept him when she begins to feel bad about herself. just my thoughts. ;) |

this song makes me think of a counselling session for some reason... 'it breaks when you don't force it' when the counsellor doesn't force their patient to change their life they 'break'. 'i'm so glad i've found this' the patient is glad they've found this release... 'You'll speak when you're spoken to You'll speak when you're spoken to He'll speak when he's spoken to She'll speak when she's spoken to' this makes me think that the only time they'll speak is when they have someone questioning or trying to understand them. just some ideas, lol. great song, no matter the meaning. |

OBVIOUSLY about an unplanned pregnancy! "no second thoughts the knife is nearing youll never hear the little pitter patter pitter patter of this little feat of engineering" (the knife = the abortion. you'll never get to hear the heartbeat) don't think this has much to do with actual sex changes, as the title suggests...although, someone previously made a comment about this being a double meaning. DEFINITELY a reference to unplanned pregnancy. a BEAUTIFUL song, i want the album! |
