this song is amazing, as is the band. Im not too sure what it is about, it almost sounds like the vocalist is singing about death from the victims eyes. He died, and how he watches his loved one suffer over his death. |

I personally think this is a song about not wanting to just become another face in the crowd. "I do not care about getting by" is saying I dont care about living life just to pay the next bill, instead he wants to follow his dreams and he doesnt care if that gets him by or not. |

I think this song is about the narrator realising that it is not good for him so keep seeing a certain girl. Sometimes people get too attached to someone and it gets to a point where its not healthy, where the only thing that person cares about is the other person, "you said you would die for me". The price the narrator has to pay is realising it is not healthy for him to remain being with the girl he loves. Seeing as shes very attached to him she is most likely not going to take it very well, so in a way she must go on living for him. |

I think this could possibly be moreso about the 50s and 60s when there were drills for a possible nuclear attack from the russians, students were told to get under their desks in order to prevent themselves from being hurt by a nuclear bomb, though Owen presented some very good symbolism I never even considered(but fyi, tornado drills are generally the same everywhere, I live in Florida also, but have lived in different states and tornado drills have all been the same.) In contrast to this, I originally thought this song was about death or possibly suicide, I think it tells a story of the last few minutes of someones life as they die. |

Oh boy here we go, first of all, did genericnickname seriously just say that "spelt" isn't a word? Check the dictionary, second, to Hairu, how am I being a bitch?The majority of the songs from this band on this site have some belligerent unnecessary comment from that foop kid so I thought it was about time someone called him out on it. And if you look back at the posts, he said something to me first, so just letting that slide would be more of a "bitch" move then saying something to him. But I agree this has gotten a little out of hand, especially since what just was an argument between me and some other kid now involves like, 5 more people(though it's good to know I'm not alone), so as long as people don't say real words are fake or call me a bitch for no good reason, I vote it all just gets ended. |

You do have a right to make fun of any band you want too, and I will give you that one, but still have no right to make fun of and generalize the people who listen to this band. You do make a decent argument, this band is in no way a band with some huge hidden messege, but at the same time that is what is so great about them. They are a fun band, with fun music. The white stuff around their face is purely theatrical, as they say "when people come to a show, we want to give them that, a show", at least they arent a band that is boring live. (also, fyi, its spelt beautiful, not bootiful, though I wouldnt call it that, once again I think its just fun). Also, how can you say their lead singer needs a shower? Does your computer(since i am almost certain you would never pick up their cd and give the band a fair chance) produce smells also? As far as people having lives "100x" worse then what will once had, i doubt that. Yes, their is always someone who is going to be worse off then someone else, but Will had a pretty hard life up until he turned 18 which is reflected in some of his songs(read my first post or listen to unbreakable). And finally, as far as helping kids, that is exactly what bands like this do. They give those people who do wear all black and too much make up someone to relate too, and most of the time, that is all they need, and that can be life saving. |

you make no sense. I make a valid point about how you have no right to make fun of a band that is about 50x's successful as you will ever be, or the people that listen to them, then you say Im going to stab you with pencils and need to stop overdosing on pills. If you are going to say something, make a point and dont just type out whatever idiotic stuff pops into your head. I seriously want to know what about this band is so terrible. |

I like LifeFadingAway's meaning, but in response to Christianrockergirl's question, I wouldn't consider this a satanic band, but I think Wil feels as if God has given up on him. I mean, Wil was kicked out of his house at a young age, did every drug imaginable, stole cars, shoplifted, and saw his friends overdose and die right in front of him(this all comes from an AP interview with him), all before he was 18. This isn't to say that he would put anti god lyrics in his songs. I mean, in the thankyou section of the nightmare cd it says thanks to god and the devil for making the world interesting. I doubt this would have been said if the band was anti god. |

I am so glad this band is starting to get recognition. I saw them live a few weeks ago and stayed after and talked to them for awhile and it was amazing. The lead singer of further seems forever even pulled Derek(lead singer of this band) on stage to sing "For all we know" with him.
But anyway, to me this song tells the story of a guy who broke up with his girlfriend because she cheated on him. Despite this break up, he still loved her very much and was hoping that they would get back together. Sadly though, he is not able to overcome the fact that she cheated on him and even though she still has something for him, she gets with another guy. |
