this song means a lot to me. i see it as a song celebrating the life he had with marianne and that he had happiness with her but his own problems led to the break up... it's a beautiful song. also, my name is marianne, and its strange to hear him singing my name! |

| I love this song, it's a really underrated one by Franz Ferdinand. I think it kind of explains itself though. To me it's about someone who's missing a loved one (who's died?), and reflecting on the time they had together. Forgive me if I'm wrong, thats just always how I've interpreted it. | |
