At least not all of it. colitas is a refrence to weed, but that is about it...the Steely knifes mean "Steely Dan" the 70's band. They had the same manager. They liked to poke fun at each other. In a sone before Steely Dan said something like"Turn the Eagles up on the Radio."

Actually most of Dr. Hook's Songs were written by Shel Silverstein. The guy that wrote all thouse childrens books. Dr. Hook is not one member of the band...they just used that name becuase it was the nick name for one of the guys cause he wore an eye patch.

The organ was not just played backwards. They played circus music and then cut the tape up into one ince pieces. Then they tossed the cut up tape intot eh air and taped it together in random order. that is why is sound so weird and cool.
