| The Beatles – Eleanor Rigby Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Wow...some wild interpretations in here. My view: the song is quite ironic in how it shows how utterly pointless the lives of Eleanor & the Father had become ("wearing a face" of makeup for no one, "donning" or mending socks when no one will see the holes) and yet you have Paul & John asking where all the lonely people come from as if they are ignoring who they are singing about. The singers act as an aloof God (explaining the religious angle) who could care less about how lonely his followers are (to the point where his followers die but he doesn't "save" them from the loneliness). Simple yet powerful lyrics that are most powerful when you don't look for hidden meanings. | |
| Stevie Wonder – As Lyrics | 19 years ago |

You would swear that this was Stevie trying to write wedding vows...one of the most beautiful expressions from a songwriter about how TRUE love should be forever. Love the part where he writes "Did you know that true love asks for nothing No no her acceptance is the way we pay Did you know that life has given love a guarantee To last through forever and another day" |

| Stevie Wonder – Superstition Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I don't think this solely deals with drugs so much as it has to do with people letting stuff like certain religious & traditional beliefs effect them to the point of not living a full life. Thus, you have the "when you believe in things that you don't understand" line...reminds me of those people who believe whatever their priests tell them but they have never read the bible. | |

... This has more comments then the original song's page :( . I wish that people would expound on Stevie's other lyrics as much as they do here... |

| Stevie Wonder – Higher Ground Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Every time I read the news I hear this song in my head...considering how timeless these lyrics are, it seems amazing that more people don't comment about them here. In fact, why is there no love for Stevie Wonder from people here? | |
| Prince – 7 Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| It is the 7 world powers that will fall...most of this song is based on the prophecies in Revelations. Former Jehovah's Witness here and I don't know if Prince was studying with them when he wrote it but the whole song feels like it has a lot of JW influence in it...still love Prince and this song though even if I find the actual religion to be bunk. | |
