Primus – DMV Lyrics 19 years ago
Yeah, about there not being a bass solo, Terminal Sickie.... there is...and its sweet. Primus is more bass driven than guitar driven, its just how they wriht. Although Ler is a very underrated guitarist. Anyone that can put up with Claypool's crazy lines is simple awesome.

Tool – Right in Two Lyrics 19 years ago
Everyone talking down to TREXOR is kinda missing the point. Take a step back and remember what song this board is about. Its about Right In Two, a song based around how humans fight among eachother. The irony is crazy. Although TREXOR was wrong, do we need to rub it in. We know it and he knows it. I applaud TREXOR for having the balls to come on to the Tool page and share his unpopula opinion to us. I do not agree with how he went about it. Instead of telling us why (specifically) he doesn't like the songs, he left the same message on every page.

Tool – Lipan Conjuring Lyrics 19 years ago
Danny Carey has been obsessed with the Occult ever since he saw his dad doing a sword dance at 3 in the morning in his back yard. This sounds like tribal chanting to me. Possibly an Occult reference....

Tool – Jambi Lyrics 19 years ago
Jambi was/is Pee Wee's genie that would wish him whatever he wanted ("I would wish this all away"). Jambi is also a providence of Indonesia.

Trexor, this would be the best hoax i've ever HEARD and HELD...

Tool – Prison Sex Lyrics 19 years ago
This song is gross. I figure this song is also about some sorta abuse. But I don't think its the abuse that a rape-ee is getting. Its the abuse that a raper (sp?) is going through. "Do unto others what has been done to you" is the rapist talking to him/herself. Its their way of putting logic to their crime, like all major criminals have done.

It seems like the rapist seems superior to his/her victim. The video brought that out to me. The legless doll was the victim to the skinny black one. The skinny black one wanted to befriend the other, so it made sure he couldn't leave, by taking off its legs. It took something away (parallels with virginity). The black doll wouldn't let the other one leave at all costs. The little doll was basically bound (parallels with rapists' actions to prey). Then while the little doll was crawling around, it saw other dolls, that look similar to it (parallels to rapists capturing people in a certain mannor).

It also seems to be that a lot of this is driected to the church, who may be "raping our minds" or what-have-you. With lines like "Do unto others what has been done to you." This is what the Bible preaches against in the New Testament. Perhaps he's trying to say that the Bible is hypocritical. No one, but him, can really be sure.

(I'm a drunk 15 year old. This is just what I think, it may not be true. Deal with it.)

Tool – Pushit (Live) Lyrics 19 years ago
Simply, its about 2 unnamed people ( Him and X in my mind). It sounds like they were in a relation ship ("You still love me"). It seems as if they broke up ("Remember I will always love you, As I claw your fucking throat away"). But their relationship didn't end there. Although they seem to hate eachother, they're still in love. Maynard rewrote this song because he saw something that he forgot about in the first song. That it was his fault too.

The other way to look at it is that they're in love with hating eachother. That every day, they're just bend on tearing the other down. I like the first way better.

(Don't take this 100% serious. I'm just some kid thats heard a good song a few times...)

Tool – Disgustipated Lyrics 19 years ago
I like the landlord story. It was eerie and made little to no sence with the whole "That made {color} be your color" stuff. The middle part is self explanitory, in the natural world, animals eat other animals, and despite what a lot of people seem to think, we're animals. Its survival. I think it may be more metaphoric We "kill" others to get a head (think of a videogame for that expampe). Or do something like lie or steal. But, I'm 15 years old and hopped up on something right now, so don't be mad if I'm wrong.
