also some corrections on the lyrics. isnt it "Swing at me again if you like"? and in the "clown you aint shit....." part, it goes: "clown you aint shit.... Girl you anit shit.... hell you aint shit.... clown you aint shit.... the reason he mentions girl anf hell is because he obviously call the guy who tried to hit him 'clown' because he wears his tattoos like a clown wears make up. also some girls wear make-up to hide who they are, and hell is used by religion hide their bull poop |

| The Butterfly Effect – Black Lung Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
i think this songs about trying to quit smoking! haha i know it sounds kinda funny but thats what it reminds me of. firstly theres the name "black lung" then lines like "save your breath" "Black lung is beathing for you now" "shut your mouth its filling with dust" "no air in this frame" it all seems to be about being short of breath, and then theres "its my turn to breath" which seems like fighting to quit. maybe i just havnt had one in a while and its on my mind....on that note, i'll be back in five! |

with the errors made in the lirics here i think jon would be pissed off. some of the shit YOU say he wrote up there makes him look illiterate! its "give me piece or release for fuck's sake" what you have makes no sence. then we have (other than the correctiona already made by others) "why thank you, i was raped. i will always be the same" this is directed at people or immitators in other bands who think they can step to jon but they dont have shit. they complain that their parents made them eat their veggies, or that the hottest chick in the world wouldnt date them, boo fucking hoo. jon's pain is real |

| KoЯn – Kick the P.A. Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| "This song is about people who think that they feel jon's pain and can relate to it. they think they know what he's going through but they dont. so many people say to Jon, i wish i could be you or i wish i could be like you which kinda pisses him off sometimes. they dont seem to understand what he has had to go through in his life to have the emotions that make him a great singer. he doesnt want any of it. he'd give up his career to make it all go away. -David" i go this from a interview in a magazine. | |
| Mudvayne – Nothing To Gein Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Hi, My name is Col and i am a lecturer on Serial killers and their psychology at florida state univercity. i have studied Ed Gein and his life for the last 15 years. While presening a lecture to a class one of my students told me about this song. Although Mudvayne in not really my style of music (i prefer the doors but thats because im very old almost senile) i very much enjoyed this song. i think the writer (who i believe is named Kud?) is a VERY telented atrist who has an abilty not only to take on the persona of Gein but to put put himself in the same state psychologicaly. Kud is obviously a very inteligent and also very emotional, much like Gein. Perhaps Kud saw similaties betwen himself and the subject. i love the notion that is evedent through the entire song the Ed Gein is feeling that "Its my time, to mother" as though Ed was somehow returning the favour to his mother, who gave birth to him, by giving birth to her and bringing her to life by wearing her skin and dancing in the moonlight. Most people see Gein as some sort of sexual deviant, (which he was to a degree) but the writer/vocalist is focusing more or the attempts of Gein to bring his mother back to life. As to the argument that Gein should not be praised or thought of as cool, that is very true! however Gein does teach us a valuable lesson about how fragile the human mind is and how easily it can be distorted into having a very sick and twisted sence of reality. if programmed from birth like he was any one of us would turn out the same. I feel pity for Gein, not to undermine the loss of his victims and their families but he too was a victim. A victim of how frail the human psychi can be. i Think this is the message Kud and Mudvayne are giving us. I think im now the only 62 year old Mudvane fan, and i would like Kud to come and study under me :) if he presented this song as a thesus to me in his final year as a report on Gein he would pass at the top of my class..
