This song seems to be about letting go of something in the past and starting something new with someone else. For some reason I get this feeling that this song is actually about steve tannen and deb talan meeting and then writing music together. "I can remember when I first saw you You said in my photograph I looked more far away I laughed and smiled and didn’t say “I am a bit afraid to be here.” I may be wrong, but I do know that they were intimidated of eachother at first.
