I read all the comments and I think they all sound very good exept the thing about the cops. But I think this song is about a hard breakup. The guy gave up everything he had, even friends and family, for this "perfect" girl who turned out to be a pig. One day she tells him she has found a new boyfriend and leaves him "black and blue and broken bones". He lost everything for a girl and then he lost his girl and realizes that he has got nothing left but killing himself. |
