Id almost say that this was written in similar state to 7 years when Anthony was in Saosin. Then again, they both (at the least) mention religion, so perhaps Im being shallow. Just an obervation |

I swear, when these guys hit it, they're gonna hit it big in the prog scene. They're a machine of perfection. Bloody Amazing |

Granted, this is totally nerd-like, but I get a sense of Boetheus' Consolation of Philosophy. It basicly states that the nature of fate is that there is no real good or bad, because we dont have a god-like perspective to figure out how everything will work out. The only thing that we really have any choice in is whether to believe fate to be in our good interest or against us. Theres some stuff about monotheism and a Prime mover, but Anthony would probably take a more universal take on it anyways |

Have you heard their original reggae demo for it?
I myself actually liked it a lot better then the final recording in a lot of ways. I thought the emotion matched the content a little better at the slower tempo |

I get the feeling this song is for some homeless guy with a wheelchair whose name is Manny. the whle thing with the jub jub swing made me think of a park where bums would hang out. makes it seem like a song protesting a lack of enough welfare for folks. It wouls make sense from these guys considering their progressive political views |

ok, I see it as a sort of plea about how society relies on sex so much in a relationship they forget about the whole "loving" each other in a nonphysical sense, which is just as important. That while DId you get what you wanted, did you get what you wanted now" part at least thats my take. I might be seein them live in san fran on like the 24th or something like that. yay |

I almost get this as some sort of political struggle kind of thing in this guys head. I normally hate political songs, but its done beautifully. Like, he wants to believe in the justice in his cause, but is also struck with the fact that what he's doing is murder. It can go from either party here in our good ol U. S. of A. |

You know, one thing about it, I wouldnt go as far to call it emo. Tomas is too smart for that. Hes more the kind of guy that takes an intelligent look on a dying world, and is observing society's last stand. Beutiful? yes. Romantic? yes. Depressing? can be. Realistic? more than anything. Give him some credit.
He's not just some whiney emo kid |

Well, to be honest Im a bit disappointed in what Ive heard off the new album. I love LTJ dearly, but I think they reached their peak at Hello Rockview, and did a good job with Anthem, but they seem to be selling out :( |

I love the dynamics of this song. The bass line and drum line and the lyrics line up perfectly. One of my favourites on the album, actually |

Well, all Ive got to say is SAOSINS at WARPED TOUR this year!!!! and Im soooo going.....anyways, I myself sorta feel the whole broken home image on this song. The parents weren't ready for a kid, both financially and emotionally, and the dad is a jerk that screams at the kids in a southern accent. Thats my take |

I dunno, it seems like there could be a reverse take on the lyrics, like getting to comfortable in dangerous situations can be well, dangerous, hence the title witht the walls (like in a house) having teeth (and being able to eat you/destroy you). and how the little pigs always seem so comfortable in their houses even when the wolf is rite outside. Just a guess |

I get the jist of some religious imagery, mayhaps a reference to sin (which, in this album would be the exansion of Hollywood ideals). The whole godforsake tree is where you belong. Reminds me of Jesus on the cross at Calvary. I've heard called the godforsaken tree somewhere before |

well, Im not sure if it ties into the theme, but doesn't the "mourning after I'm stuck in your throat" line kind of remind you both of drugs, hangovers, and like, the morning after pill all at the same time? so many mistakes, so many consequences. Absolutley amazing lyrics, and this is coming from a ska fan |
